Once again......
In a campaign stop today, Dick Cheney described Kerry's voting record as "on the left, out of the mainstream and out of touch with the conservative values of the heartland."
The Kerry campaign response...
"Considering that Dick Cheney got five deferments from the military to avoid combat, he's the last person who should be attacking Vietnam veteran John Kerry's commitment to the flag."
Amazing!!!

If, just for a moment we consider that Dick Cheney is the last person that should be attacking Vietnam veteran John Kerry's commitment to the flag because he got deferments to avoid combat. Then those of us who saw combat and served 12 or more months in Vietnam have every right to question John Kerry's commitment to the flag, his ability to be CIC or any other thing we we wish to question.
At the same time if Dick Cheney does not have the right to question Kerry's commitment to the flag because he got five deferments and never saw combat, then those ( anyone ) who have not seen combat has no right to endorse John Kerry. |

This is another of the left's lies. If anybody says anything about John Kerry, then they are automatically questioning his patriotism, or his commitment to the flag, etc., yada, yada, yada.

I read what VP Cheney said, and no-where in it did he question anything other than Kerry's judgement, voting record, policies, political record, etc... I did not read anywhere where VP Cheney said anything at all about John Kerry's patriotism, his commitment to the flag, or in fact anything about John Kerry's military service in Vietnam or anywhere else.
Nice try, but it doesn't work, and that dog just don't hunt!

Like everything the Left does it's the concept of an "oft repeated lie becoming the truth". Their tactics of Agitprop belong in Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, or the Arab ME.
Sadly, there are a lot of poorly educated and thus economically deprived in this country that the Left panders to (but only during election season)who are prone to believing it when said by those offering a free lunch and a nickel beer.
Classic Democratic Machine politics of the Tammany Hall variety. Only problem is.....this time our very existence is at risk!
