The Marine and the Old Man

One sunny day in 2005, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench.

He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Kerry was not elected President ."

The old man said, "Okay" and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry was not elected president and does not reside here."

The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U. S. Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Kerry. I've told you already that Mr. Kerry was not elected president and does not reside here. Don't you understand?"

The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."

He must caress himself with his tongue....he is the only person in the world worthy enough to share himself with.

Sorry for him....NAAaaaa! He is grandstanding, limelighting to the end..............He had no pity no compassion for true hero's.

He is worthless there is nothing to him..don't fall for his drama.

You should have heard Dan Rather during the surrender speech. He sounded like someone had died!!!!

On Rush's show today he played "Ohio" by the Pretenders...

Way to go Ohio!!!!

Don't let up, I believe you've only begun to fight.. I was dancing until Kerry said "my band of brothers crisscrossing the country telling the truth" What cojones! Evil or Very Mad

You're right he doesn't deserve any pity.. They are just plotting on the next course of action. Leopards never shed their spots....... How much pity did he have on his brothers when he was meeting with the enemy and doing nothing about his brothers in POW camps?

Thank you America...........

OMCM,

That goes for both Johns. That was the most self-serving, pety concession speech by Edwards. Did anyone tell him he lost? He better figure it out fast and get out from in front of skerry for there are more torpedos in the water heading that direction.

If the BOB "told the truth" than the SBVT are liars. This battle is just starting. If the SBVT fold their tent Kerry will have lost the election but succeded in saving his "honor" at the expense of the SBVT.
