Here, I think, might be an original idea that could catch on nationally with the right impetus...perhaps a rendition of Stanza IV of our National Anthem to open the Republican National Convention?

To me, there's a lot about America and its fundamental values enshrined in these words. Remember them?

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation.
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner forever shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Think you'll EVER hear that sung at a democrat sponsored event?

Great idea Jay!

Only problem is the ACLU will sue to have the Stanza removed from the Star Spangled Banner and Kerry/Edwards will be for and against its removal; at least until after the election when they'll want to ask for approval for removal of the stanza by the United Nations!

Ya know what? I wish what I just wrote was a joke! Evil or Very Mad

Tom
