Now that the election is over the American community can move on as one. The Swifties et al successfully met their objective. Unfit was too nice of term for Sen. Kerry.

Now, with your objective met, I trust you will fade into history like an old soldier. Any further energy from, or on behalf of, the Swifts will be counterproductive.

Every claim regarding Sen. Kerry's discharge was empirically proven, yet the documentation was not obtainable. The record was "expunged" by order of the president, and thus "does not exist."

Are there any vets out there that could loose substantially if another interpretation of "expunge" was implimented?

Who put this guy up to "making nice" to us and chiding us into "going away" quietly. What we now know and have spent months compliling and validating is obviously unknown to this newcomer.

This is the old lame argument that by challenging Kerry's medals we had impugned the validity of every veterans' awards.

Bunk!

We were making an issue of one man who abused the system - if anything, our position supports and validates the true honor of those who served honorably.

This is like claiming we should not weed out and prosecute public officials who take bribes, because it will make the rest of those who serve honestly in office look bad.

Bunk!

This is about truth and justice, and the integritry of the historical record, and the integrity of our political system.

As long as one of the greatest frauds on the American voting public in history is let to stand unchallenged, any charlatan is emboldened to think that he can gain power, and that lying for power pays off.

And, as long as the malfeasance of the media, which has special privileges in our society, is allowed to be hidden, and it is allowed to shirk its duty and cover up the truth about any political candidate, or only the political candidates of the media's preference, then our freedom is in jeopardy.

The world needs to know that Kerry was willingly directed by the North Vietnamese Communists while we were at war with them, as documentary evidence has now proven, and that he was dismissed from the Navy under other than honorable conditions - about which he deliberately lied and deceived the American people, and that the media conspired in hiding these facts from the people for more than a week before the election.

Expunged my ass! There are living witnesses to what happened, and Kerry himself can be legally compelled to tell the truth if enough public pressure can be exerted. And, documents do exist - otherwise, why would Kerry have so adamantly not only refused to release them, but lied as well about already having released them? Who knows what other outrages may be contained in the nearly 100 "other" pages still being held back under the Privacy Act by the Navy?

This is not even about Kerry any longer. It is about the integrity of our free and democratic political process. It is that process that Kerry and his cohorts in the media and elsewhere have abused and corrupted.

Yah, what's up with this, anyway?

On the one hand, we have people who are telling us that the Swifts haven't done enough - which get deleted as soon as we see them.

Then, we have this rash of newbies telling us to shut up?

After all this time? After what we have learned?

I don't think so! Wink

Ah yes, they are coming for us and so clever Shocked, and I in my ignorant bliss (they have found me out) am easily lulled and taken in by their brilliant suggestions: time to stop talking about it folks, shut it down now. I am especially glad to hear that my concern about my country can be put aside now because they are here to carry the load. Evil or Very Mad They just don't know what they are dealing with..

Beware of Mission Creep.

This "newbie" is not put up to anything by anybody. What I express are my opinions and councel, and mine alone. I have little to qualify myself beyond citizenship: E-1 RA, 6 /71; commissioned 1980; ret 1992. I was a "newbie" a few times and a "lifer" too, OFTEN IN JEST, OFTEN NOT.

C'mon now, express your views of the subject but try not to make it personal.

"Rash of newbies" -- "they" -- these comments are generalized and respond to numerous posts.

The thing is that Objective 1 has been met...Keep sKerry out of the CinC.

Objective 2-10 however have not been met because he still could become CinC if he so chooses.

In other words....The Swifties have won a major battle but the war still goes on and will continue until the Traitor has been completely exposed for what he is. I for one will support them until sKerry goes ahead and signs the 180 and is then disqualified from public service(?). There is a bunch of people here that feel the same way.

Hate to see this degenerate into an exchange of personal "stuff".
However, Richard, I note you joined 11/5, after all the heavy lifting and contributions. Your advice, however heartfelt, is much like Chirac telling General Abizaid what tactics he should be using for Fallujah.

When the job is completed and Kerry has received his due, the Vietnam vets and POWs have received their due, then I suspect "these old sailos's will fade away" . Until then no external advice is needed from anyone other than those who may have the same objective

Did I miss something here? When did President Bush "expunge" Kerry's record?

I never heard this and if this were true it would have been all over the MSM and the dems would have been playing on that from here to kingdom come.

Do you have a link for that or something to back that statement up? It is hard to believe the President did this and it was not aired on the MSM.
