I respect Kerry’s military record. It is what he has and hasn’t done and the betrayal of over 1.5 million Vietnam veterans that I have a problem with. Before you vote please read the transcripts of the Kerry O’Neil debate. The hell Vietnam Veterans came home to was in part authored by Kerry. And now the DNC with their affiliation with the likes of Michael Moore are having a demoralizing effect on this generation of troops. We Vietnam era veterans will not sit on the side line as the DNC continues to erode the public support for the troops. If Kerry and the DNC really cared about veterans and the troops they would denounce F/11 as mostly fiction. In the 20 years Kerry has spent in the senate do you think he might of initiated just one bill that supports veteran causes? _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

The VVAW activity and most importantly the Wintersoldier testimony is far more egregious. Without it we wouldn't even be here, but, there are serious issues with Kerry's performance while in country that should also see the light of day.
Everyone can fight the battle regarding his Senate record but we're uniquely qualified to talk about his combat claims, Wintersoldier, and the pain that it caused us.
But, to answer the question......EVERYTHING!

Perhaps the Kerry camp is trying to change the focus of our debate to the Kerry vs Bush service record instead of Kerry's betrayal of 26 million veterans who have worn the American Military Uniform. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

The main reason, in my opinion, that Kerry's war record is at issue is because he (Kerry) won't shut up about it and brings it up every time someone mentions his anti-war activities.
Kerry makes the two inseparable.
My main issues with him are from 70-72. _________________ "If he believes his 1971 indictment of his country and his fellow veterans was true, then he couldn't possibly be proud of his Vietnam service." |

Exactly my point if we want to keep Kerry from becoming CIC we need to stay focused on the 70-72 Kerry record because as you objectively look at it from the voter’s point of view and you compare the Bush in service record to the Kerry in service record Kerry probably gets higher marks in the media influenced court of public opinion. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

He voted "left of Ted Kennedy" for 20 years, doesn't show up for work, and either voted against or was a no show for the last 8 veteran friendly appropriations.
So, even if we didn't have the ammunition from the 70s, his current non-veteran support in enough to disqualify his as CIC. And, besides that, I know the Navy didn't teach him to salute like Benny Hill !!
He bailed on his crew, he bailed on the Navy, he bailed on his first wife, (too personal probably). he bailed on appropriating proper troop funding after voting so send them to war.... He bailed on his religion re abortion (oops, too personal again). Will he continue to bail if the world becomes dangerous again? His history, past & present, points to that type of Kerry heroics. We cannot afford to have him in the White House at this time in our history. _________________ Fix the problem, not the blame.

Since I had only one choice I voted the second one, but actually I'm bothered by all of it. His questionable awards, His self promotion in filming his "EXPLOITS", and his betrayal of his comrades in arms and then his long dismal record as a member of congress. _________________ Keep A Zero Bubble! |

I totally agree with most of what's already been posted.
Kerry has made his service in Vietnam an issue, not the RNC or the President.
I take issue with this opportunism in the same spirit that Burkett does with his classic, "Stolen Valor."
When someone tells me about their service, I tell them "thank you" and I listen if they want to talk some more.
It's only when my BS-o-meter starts pinging that I even mentally question what they're telling me about their service. Why are they making more of what they did than what they did? There are several reasons for the kind of self-aggrandizement that Kerry has been pulling all these years, and none of them are very healthy or contribute to my faith in the person's charachter.
Kerry's put it out there.
And I don't blame people who really were THERE and really DID what Kerry wants people to think HE did for questioning and even denigrating aspects of his service.
Kerry has denigrated his own service and even his awards by his own actions - while he was in and especially after he was out.
And the more that comes out about the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA affairs, the angrier I get. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

You think the Kerry camp is ticked now. Where will they go when the swift'ys run a add about the WWAV Kerry record? _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.
