I sure hope they do! I don't see it on their schedule. On Sunday, they note that they will re-run Cheney & Rove -- but no mention of anything else. (I've emailed them requesting a rerun -- also don't see any video archive as yet, but perhaps that takes a day or two.) |

Navy Wife.... keep a eye out for the replay. For me it really was a wonderfully cathartic moment and quite emotional.
When Admiral Hoffman challenged Mary Cahill to disprove ANYTHING even one word from Unfit for Command my heart soared.
As I am sure you have heard, you, I, Hoffman and everybody in between are discredited as 'bitter, drunken Vietnam Vets' . If not falling under one of these categories....... we are either 'puppets' or 'stooges' for the RNC and the Bush administration.
Well John O’Neil’s, Franke's and Admiral Hoffman's extemporaneous detailing of how SBVT came to be, put such assertions to rest.
The Saturday Night Live thing was just Fantastic! You have to see it.
Most important was their honoring of the POW addition to our little fray of 'malcontents'. They made it quite clear this would have gone nowhere without the addition of the 'Bloggers' and the POW contingent coming on board.
I am beaming with pride for all concerned. On my very next trip to DC I'm driving right up Constitution and heading straight to 'the Wall' and hanging out with the POW contingent who, in my experience have always been on watch........ every hour of every day since the Wall went up.
Damn that was good.
If anybody don't want that Flintlock, I'd be glad to have it.

Jack,
To have seen the Admiral and Franke and O'Neill would have been an incredible experience! Thank you for such a vivid description! Beatrice, I will keep watching the C-Span schedule. Wonder if the Saturday Night Live show will replay the skit tonight? |

If you goto the link in my post above: "CPAC 2005: Courage Under Fire" -- there is an "audioblog" which recorded the intro to Zell, Zell's speech & O'Neill's speech. Until you get the chance to actually see this event, at least you can hear a bit of it! |

Damn! Damn! Damn!
Spent the week in a jury box unable to catch the real-time (thought that Phillips&Assoc. attorney was working by the hour with a Castillian accent!). RighTalk schedules elude me and CSPAN can't find CPAC.
There's money to be made marketing a VHS or DVD of this event.....a free download would be too good to be true.
Basically logged here in the hope news will follow.

Beatrice,
Since I had not been able to get your link to the audio blog to work, I hadn't mentioned it. Then, last night I was lamenting to my husband about missing the C-Span program and was letting him read some of the comments you had posted, and clicked on your link by accident and BOOM!!! It worked and the two of us sat there spell bound while we listened to Zell Miller and then to John O'Neill It was sometimes difficult to hear because of the noise of the people talking in the background, but hey, something is better than nothing, right?? Thank you so much for posting that link, Beatrice, and didn't you love John O'Neill's tribute to Zell Miller when he said that the next time he went on the Chris Mathews show he wanted Zell to go with him!!! |

Yes, the link didn't work for me either at the time I posted it. It was only yesterday when I was trying to pull up an audio of a "breakfast and Q&A" had with O'Neill that would not work (& still doesn't) when I noticed the link to the speech audio looked a little different and I clicked on it and was surprised to see it work! And yes, I loved his comment about Zell -- (for a moment I had a vision of he and Zell together taking on anybody and what a wonderful experience that would be!) John's and Zell's speeches both are so enjoyable to listen to -- and so were the others -- you need to hear Franke and Hoffman. I'm hoping someone ends up with a copy of the whole thing! (Glad you got the link to work -- and so sorry you missed the event!)

Navy wife, It was nice to see the photos of Steve Gardner, especially the one when he was being recognized for his own efforts, since we couldn''t see that on the feed. _________________ .
