I am trying to remember the title of Jimmy Carter's election campaign book. He didn't write it but was written to promote his bid for the office of president. Seems it was something with the name "born again" in the title. I do remember the book promoted him as a "born again" Christian, and promoted heavily his faith to get him votes in 1975-76 campaign. Maybe "born again" was in the subtitle. [I think I have the dates correct.]

Hope your memory is better than mine.

Who is Jimmy Carter? Was he someone of notoriety? I vaguely remember the name, but I can’t place the face.

who's the only person elected to the presidency to have filed a UFO-sighting report with the Air Force?

Ohhhh I see Kate. He was covering his tracks in case someone saw him land in his spacecraft. I always thought he was from another planet.

Thanks Tom for all the PIX. You knew someday they would come in handy

Well, none of these is the one I am trying to find. Jimmy did not write it, at least I don't think he did. It came out before the election. It was used as a reason to elect him. I was a young Christian at the time and remember well the buzz in the Church about him being "born again." I don't know what they call those promotional paperback books. Goldwater had one called "Profile of a Conservative."

Best I can figure Jimmy Carter is the failed president from Georgia who still thinks he is president and will probably come back in another life to haunt the white house. Smile Rolling Eyes Very Happy

A small book, I think only 100-150 pages.

"The Man From Plains-the Mind and Spirit of Jimmy Carter"
by David Kucharsky, Harper& Row, 1976.
