Terri can swallow!! The reason they insist on the feeding tube is that
the only way they can LEGALLY kill her is by removing the feeding tube and let her starve. Florida law makes it a crime to withhold food and water given ORALLY!!!!

Dr. William Hammesfahr: Unlikely Terri Needs Feeding Tube

The Complete Report of Dr. William Hammesfahr can be found in an easy-to-read formatted version at:
Complete Report of Dr. Hammesfahr.
I am including excerpts from Dr. Hammesfahr's report that pertain to Terri's swallowing ability. Bolded passages are to help you find relevant phrases quickly.

In the spring of 2000, three physicians, including Dr. Jay Carpenter, who is a former Chief of Medicine at Morton Plant Hospital, filed affidavits after observing Ms. Schiavo. All three physicians stated that it is visually apparent that Ms Schiavo is able to swallow and, in fact, does swallow her own saliva.

The general facial exam was significant for acne, probably due to a chronic stress induced steroid responses. No bruits were identified. Cranial nerves were intact, and the patient was able to swallow and handle all secretions.

The first two hours of the exam, focusing on cognitive awareness of her surroundings, was carried out in a chair. The last one hour on videotape was carried out in her bed. In neither position did she have any difficulty handling any saliva or secretions.

During various portions of the exam, she would be moved or have her position readjusted. She continued to handle her saliva during this time, never being observed to choke on her saliva.

ENT: The patient can clearly swallow, and is able to swallow approximately 2 liters of water per day (the daily amount of saliva generated). Water is one of the most difficult things for people to swallow. It is unlikely that she currently needs a feeding tube. She should be evaluated by an Ear Nose and Throat specialist, and have a new swallowing exam.

[Her test should be done under the scrutiny of doctors without a killing agenda. Otherwise, the would-be killers could sedate her.] (Joe and Margaret's important observation.)

This case is nothing more than a killing agenda. Since Terri can swallow, it makes sense that they defied the Florida statutes and denied her oral feedings. It would defeat their killing purposes to obey the law and give Terri food and drink by mouth, because she can swallow!

Make a mental note of the media that is cooperating with the NWO killing agenda by not informing people that it is against the law to deny Terri food and drink by mouth. Whether they are mainstream or allegedly alternative, their silence speaks volumes.

The Truth About Terri Schiavo
by Dave Cantrell | 03/20/2005 2:51 pm

Did you know that Terri was walking with assistance in physical therapy until her husband ordered all rehabilitative care stopped immediately?

Did you know that Terri suffered a near-fatal infection in 1995 and her husband ordered her doctors to not provide any treatment whatsoever?

Did you know that out of approximately $1 million awarded to Terri for malpractice and designated for her medical expenses, approximately half has been spent on the lawyers who are campaigning to torture her to death by dehydration?

Did you know that one of Michael Schiavo’s lawyers called Terri a “houseplant”?

Source: Terrisfight.org

Did you know that Michael Schiavo has broken numerous state and federal laws to deny care to his own wife, whom he promised to love and cherish in sickness and in health, yet he has not even been charged with a crime?

Why would Michael Schiavo want so badly for his wife to die? He recently refused a $1 million offer from a California businessman, and his lawyer claimed he had turned down a $10 million offer. Since he is not after the money, what other motive could there be?

Did you know that bone scans performed on Terri Schiavo in 1991 showed multiple fractures, including a broken back and pelvis?

Did you know that U.S. forensic pathologist Michael Baden reviewed these records and concluded that a criminal investigation into the cause of Terri’s broken bones should be conducted?

What is Michael Schiavo not telling us?

If you go to Terrisfight.org, click on Court Documents on the left and scroll down to see a pdf copy of Judge Greers denial of even allowing anyone to try to feed Terri by mouth.

What is puzzling me is the hyprocracy of the bleeding heart liberals demoncrats. On one hand they condemn the Congress for wanting to step in and trump the States rights in this case as being illegal and on the other hand they want the feds to step in and trump the States rights in putting a convicted murder to death.
What is the difference except the convicted murderer is put out humanely

Anyone heard anything yet?

I've been cruising the news sites, but I don't have a television in here. The federal court is hearing the parents' emergency appeal this afternoon - that's the last I heard.

God, I hope that those judges will see what we've all been looking at over the last few weeks and not what this woman's husband has been peddling for all these years.

I wish I knew of a way to open the eyes and ears of anyone who has supported the right of this husband to murder his wife.

After spending 20 minutes at the TerrisFight.org site, I realize that this is all about money, the $1.3M settlement that takes care of Terri. Her husband and his lawyers want it and Terri's care is eating away at it with the passage of time. The faster this court sanctioned murder proceeds the faster the lawyers and her husband (who is living with another woman and has kids by the other woman) can get their grubby hands on it.

It's too bad someone just can't pay off this Murder Inc. group trying to snuff out her life.

We can only hope that Terri's parents will prevail.

There is much more at stake than just money. While that may very well be the initial reasoning, the euthanasia crowd has latched on this woman's murder with a vengence.

If they are allowed to summarily execute Terri Schiavo in this manner, no disabled person will be safe in the future. We are hearing the exact same statements and arguments from them that was used in pre-Hitler Germany. The holocaust started with the sick, disabled and infirmed long before they turned their attention to the Jews. Evil or Very Mad

I know this isn't just about the money. The euthanasia croud is using this as a rallying point for their cause. If they succeed now, it will transition from "right to die" to "duty to die". For Terri's husband (and lawyers), though, it is just financial; and how to maximize the dollars. Terri is just the pawn in this game.

I am still waiting to hear where the husband has that million bucks - in his bank, pocket, non existent or in an escrow account? Another thing that I don't get is how he can continue to be her legal guardian if he has abandoned his marriage to have another family. Seems that would be grounds enough for her parents to have kicked him out of the decision making.

Coma victim on verge of death
By LES KJOS

A 39--year--old Tampa, Fla., woman who has been in a coma for 13 years is once again on the brink of death.

At a hearing Sept. 18, Circuit Judge George Greer ordered healthcare personnel to pull Terri Schiavo's feeding tube
on Oct. 15. That date is now in doubt because a federal judge has agreed to consider the case.

Greer's order also banned the parents from spoon--feeding their daughter after the tube is pulled. They believe they can keep her alive that way.

The day after Schiavo's parents took the case to federal court last week U.S. District Judge Richard Lazzara scheduled a hearing for Oct. 10. Schiavo's parents seek a federal injunction to block the tube removal, and also are looking to have their son--in--law removed as guardian of their daughter.

Part of the grounds for the dispute was a charge that Michael Schiavo and Greer conspired to circumvent Florida law.

It was the fourth time the feeding tube has been ordered removed, and the parents have appealed each time. Lazzara last week invited Florida Attorney General Charlie Crist to appear at the hearing. So far, Crist has not responded although he said that in any event, he will watch carefully.

Terri Schiavo, 39, has been in a coma since suffering a heart attack Feb. 25, 1990, that left her without any oxygen for five minutes. The subsequent brain damage plunged her in a coma.

Her husband, Michael Schiavo, went to court to seek permission to stop feeding her. Her parents, Mary and Bob Schindler, insist there is still a chance she can survive, a dispute that has escalated into a bitter court brawl.

Her husband and his attorney, George Felos, called the treatment that has been proposed "quackery." Michael Schiavo says his wife never wanted to be kept alive. Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed briefly in May 2001, but another judge intervened.

The two sides have charged each other of wanting to control $700,000 won in a malpractice suit in 1992. Half of that money has been spent on treatment and legal bills.

The right--to--die case has brought out partisans on all sides.
The Roman Catholic Church has weighed in with a restrained statement. "Roman Catholic moral theology suggests that the removal of food and hydration from a patient, even though that person may be comatose, is justifiable only if the natural projected path of the individual's medical condition will lead inevitably to death, sooner rather than later," said the
statement by the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

"As there is a significant disagreement among the family of Terri Schiavo, the Catholic Church would prefer to see all parties take the safer path," it said, but added the church would refrain from passing judgment on anyone's action.

Others are not as conciliatory.
Felos said in a recent court document comments by Pat Anderson, the attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, promote a "climate of violence."

"Characterizing one side in litigation as the defender of God and the other as anti--God is an attempt to inflame fanatic elements who believe that the ends justify the means when one is doing 'God's will,'" Felos wrote.

Felos said he gets a stream of unsavory e--mail messages and letters. "I feel uncomfortable talking about it," he told the St. Petersburg Times. "By putting attention on it, it may encourage people. We do receive this sort of stuff, and we are security conscious."

Anderson said she hasn't seen any threats.

"There has been nothing that I have seen coming across my computer screen that is of a threatening nature," Anderson said. "There's a lot of outrage, but I haven't seen evidence of anyone involved with violent tendencies. "If I can believe my e--mails, I know there are thousands of people praying for the judge and Michael Schiavo," Anderson said.

A petition drive and letter writing campaign urged Gov. Jeb Bush to stop any further legal proceedings. Supporters want an investigation into how the woman became incapacitated among other issues.

"We are requesting that you investigate what the Schindler family believes are severe abuses conducted against their daughter, Terri Schiavo," the petition to the governor asks.

Five doctors were appointed by Greer to provide a diagnosis. Two chosen by Michael Schiavo said her condition was irreversible. Two chosen by the family said her condition can improve.

The fifth physician, Dr. Peter Bambakidis, came down on the side of Michael Schiavo, but the family said he had a conflict of interest in the case.

"Supporters of Terri believe that attorney George Felos had a personal relationship with either the Bambakidis family or with Peter Bamnbakidis prior to Dr. Peter Bambakidis being assigned as an independent examining physician in April of 2002," said a statement Pamela Hennessy, a spokesman for the family.

Supporters contend the selection was the result of a conspiracy between Michael Schiavo and Greer. Hennessy said both Felos and Gust Bambakidis, the older brother of the physician, were both members of the American Hellenic Education Progressive Association.

This statement by Judge Whittemore is pretty disheartening.
I pray for Terri.

Judge Won't Issue Decision on Schiavo Yet

Mar 21, 6:43 PM (ET)

By VICKIE CHACHERE

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Armed with a new law rushed through Congress over the weekend, the attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents pleaded with a judge Monday to order the brain-damaged woman's feeding tube re-inserted. But the judge appeared cool to the argument.

U.S. District Judge James Whittemore did not immediately make a ruling after the two-hour hearing, and he gave no indication on when he might act on the request.

The hearing came three days after the feeding tube was removed. Doctors have said Schiavo, 41, could survive one to two weeks without the tube.

The courtroom showdown, the latest in what has become a legal cliffhanger captivating the nation, followed an extraordinary political fight over the weekend that consumed both chambers of Congress and prompted the president to rush back to the White House.

Congress passed a law that allowed Schiavo's parents to argue their case before a federal court, bringing the legal battle to Whittemore's Tampa courtroom.

"We are rushed and we are somewhat desperate," the Schindler's attorney, David Gibbs III, told the judge. "Terri may die as I speak." The attorney said that forcing Schiavo to die by starvation and dehydration would be "a mortal sin" under her Roman Catholic beliefs.

"It is a complete violation to her rights and to her religious liberty, to force her in a position of refusing nutrition," Gibbs told Whittemore.

But the judge told Gibbs that he was not completely sold on the argument. "I think you'd be hard-pressed to convince me that you have a substantial likelihood" of the parents' lawsuit succeeding, said Whittemore, nominated by former President Clinton in 1999.

George Felos, one of the attorneys for husband Michael Schiavo, told Whittemore that the case has been aired thoroughly in state courts and that forcing the 41-year-old severely brain damaged woman to endure another reinsertion of the tube would violate her civil rights.

"Every possible issue has been raised and re-raised, litigated and re-litigated," Felos said. "It's the elongation of these proceedings that have violated Mrs. Schiavo's due process rights."

Terri Schiavo's father, Bob Schindler, who had been upbeat about the prospects of his daughter remaining alive, grimly left the courthouse as family friends crowded near him for support.

Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed at 1:45 p.m. Friday, the third such time it has been disconnected. On both previous occasions, the tube was re-inserted by court order.

Michael Schiavo contends he is carrying out his wife's wishes not to be kept alive artificially. He said he was outraged that lawmakers and the president were intervening in the bitter right-to-die battle. He has fought for years with his wife's parents over whether she should be permitted to die or kept alive through the feeding tube.

"This is a sad day for Terri. But I'll tell you what: It's also is a sad day for everyone in this country because the United States government is going to come in and trample all over your personal, family matters," he told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Monday.

The family's lawsuit alleges a series of rights violations, including that Terri Schiavo's religious beliefs were being infringed upon, that the removal of the feeding tube violated her rights and that she was not provided an independent attorney to represent her interests.

President Bush applauded the dramatic legislative maneuver by Congress to get the case before a federal court.

"Democrats and Republicans in Congress came together last night to give Terri Schiavo's parents another opportunity to save their daughter's life," Bush said at an event on Social Security in Arizona. "This is a complex case with serious issues, but in extraordinary circumstances like this, it is wise to always err on the side of life."

Outside the hospice where his daughter entered her fourth day without food or water, Bob Schindler told reporters, "I'm numb, I'm just totally numb. This whole thing, it's hard to believe it."

A shout of joy was heard from the crowd outside the hospice when news of the House bill's passage came. About two dozen activists outside the hospice were subdued but hopeful after learning that Whittemore did not issue an immediate ruling. Some loudly heckled Felos as he spoke with the media.

"This is a life or death matter right now as I speak to you," said Nancy Kramer, 50.

Terri Schiavo suffered brain damage in 1990 when her heart stopped briefly because of a possible potassium imbalance brought on by an eating disorder. She can breathe on her own, but has relied on the feeding tube to keep her alive.

Court-appointed doctors say she is in a persistent vegetative state with no hope of recovery. Her husband says she would not want to be kept alive in that condition, but her parents insist she could recover with treatment.

Bob Schindler visited his daughter late Sunday and said he noticed the effects of dehydration on her. He said she appeared to be getting tired, but eventually responded to his teasing by making a face at him.

"It tells us she's still with us," he said.

Brian Schiavo, Michael's brother, said he spent Sunday afternoon with his brother and Terri at the hospice, but Terri did not move or make any noises. "Anybody that thinks that she talks and responds, they need to have a mental health examination," he said.

"Terri Schiavo's father, Bob Schindler, who had been upbeat about the prospects of his daughter remaining alive, grimly left the courthouse as family friends crowded near him for support."

My heart breaks for him!

Isn't starving her to death, disallowing even attempting to feed her by mouth withno one making any effort whatsoever to ascertain her true wishes, not those of the SOB HINO also a violation not only of her civil rights but criminal as well? If not, it ought to be.

Bob Schindler was on H&C this evening and a description of what he has to go through before being allowed to see Terri was given. Basically, he is searched everytime to ensure he is not trying to sneak any food or water or even ice crystals in to ease her suffering while she dehydrates to death.

Imagine the pain he feels seeing his daughter wither away like that while smug %$#@*&^% and &*^%#@$% like Judge Greer, Michael Schiavo, and Attorney Geroge Felos go home and eat a full meal and count their money while she dies.

I'm afraid I'd lose it and someone would get hurt!!!!!!!!!

As far as I'm concerned, Michael Schiavo has bypassed Scott Peterson as the most hated man in America, rightfully so.
