My husband posted this at my site. I thought you would appreciate reading his opinion about the libs.

Case in point, GWB appointments for the bench are being met with stiff opposition. The rationale from the left is "their religous beliefs could cloud their objectivity." The liberals should have given a heads-up to our founding fathers on that perspective. When our Constitution and Bill of Rights were written, the authors of it exhibited and practiced strong religous beliefs openly.
Al Gore comes across as a person who suddenly sees the conservative right a threat to the Nation. Keep in mind that our Capitol Building was used for religeous services during the time of our founding fathers.
Benjamin Franklin was quite liberal and even he didn't have a fit, like Al Gore did about religous practices.
One Nation Under God seems to scare liberals. I'm convinced that accountability is what intimidates liberal minded people. If you sear the conscience, everything is acceptable. Abortion, partial birth abortion, open borders, gay marriage, Geneva Contvention Rights for terrorists. I think you get the point. |

Yep, and to hear them tell it, anti-religious, atheistic or lack of religious beliefs don't cloud objectivity to the same supposed degree? 
This double-standard has been around for a long time - it's only in the last couple of years that it's become so blatant and overt.
We've had people bangin' on the idea of media bias, double-standards, etc for years but it didn't seem to make much of an impression on the public at large.
We gave these people license to escalate this nonsense to these insane proportions. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Our cultural apathy and disdain toward politics and politicians (the resignation to the idea that you can't fight city hall) led us here and it's only now that we're snapping out of it.
God help us if we continue down some of the roads we've taken in the last twenty years. I think we already have the equivalent of a civil "cold war" going on in this country. I hope we don't have to come to a real war before we wake up.

| It is becoming more blatiant because the are seeing failure. Their attempt to save their elected faceby letting the judiciary do their legislating from the bench saving them from facing their constituency for their actions is being exposed and their real agenda is being coming to the forefront. I laugh every time I hear one of them tell about their religious up bringing. All I can reference is Harleys Rule: "Mess with the best, Die like the rest". |

I don't think he phrased that one quite right....  but it is like Navy_Navy_Navy says it has always been going on, but has become so much more blatently evident that the liberals are contrary to any real
decency or morals. |
