"Left-wing Democrats in the House are working on a plan to compel the House Judiciary Committee to launch an impeachment inquiry into what they say are "high crimes and misdemeanors" committed by President Bush in the run-up to the Iraq war.

"If you read the record of the writing of the Constitution, ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ had a very particular meaning at the time of the drafting of the Constitution," Rep. Zoe Lofgren said at a forum held by Rep. John Conyers earlier this month."

~snip~
"Bonifaz has a receptive ear in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who talked about "the case" against Bush last week and praised the Downing Street Memo as "very important" new evidence.

"The case is that going into the war was a grotesque mistake," she told the left wing web site Raw Story. "It was predicated on a lie . . . the intelligence did not support the claim, the threat that they said."

I don't know what these liberal moonbats are thinking. Bush hasn't done anything wrong.
We are at war because we were attacked.
Any time a foreign force attacks America on American soil, just when isn't it grounds for going to war? Just because Al-Qaeda isn't located in a single country is no reason to limit our response to just one country. Afghanistan and Iraq and other countries harbor terrorists. They need to experience retribution. If you knowingly harbor terrorists then you are a terorist nation.
I only regret that Bush didn't use nukes in Tora Bora and get Osama once and for all.
It is only a few weeks from the 60th anniversary of the first wartime use of an atomic bomb. We haven't used any since 1945. The threat of atomic weapons is no longer a threat. Nobody believes we will ever use them so it isn't a deterrent any more. The third world nations firmly believe that we will never use a nuke, so they have no reason to fear them (or us).
If the U.S. did use a nuke it would accomplish several things.
1) Put the fear of god back into our enemies.
2) The threat of atomic retaliation would be real again.
3) World opinion would condemn us. So what? They'll get over it in a year and nobody would mess with us for some time to come. The world has a short attention span; take advantage of it.

Liberals don't control anything. They can talk, but without a moonbat majority, ZIP!! Impeachment is not a strategy. Razz Razz Razz Razz

Pelosi needs to have a sock stuffed in her mouth. A real dirty one. She has a real nasty mouth and is a complete imbecile.
She has to be a favorite among our enemies. One of their best freinds, so to speak.
Attempt impeachment proceedings against a sitting president while we're at war? They are completely insane and should be censured until the hostilities are over. Then they can investigate their butts off. NOT NOW!

The libs just can't connect Afghanistan and Iraq, no matter what. They just can't see the obvious connection. They can't see that this is a different kind of war, and the only way to go after these finatics is to go after a country that supports them, even if it's not the country itself that attacked us, like the obvious attack by the Japanese in WWII.
They are also stuck on the lack of evidence of WMDs and will stay there for eternity.

Once again, Rush was right! He said before the election that, if Bush won,
the Dems would try to impeach him. As mentioned above, there is no way
they can accomplish this with the Pubs in control of the HOR (where any
articles of impeachment would have to originate). They will still make
fools of themselves talking about it because they can not accept that GW
actually won a second term.

If you think about it, their hero FDR could be accused of the same thing.
Although Japan is the nation that attacked us, he also declared war on
Germany and its other allies. FDR knew that the evil represented by
these aggressive nations had to be confronted just as GWB realized after
9-11 that the evil represented by Al-Qaeda had to be confronted. By
taking the fight to the terrorists, he chose to fight the war on our terms in
a place of our own choosing rather than wait for another "sneak" attack
on our homeland. The idea of impeaching GWB for "misleading" us with
intelligence that everyone in the world believed at the time (not to
mention WJC in 1998) is ludicrous and just shows how desperate the
Dems are and how stupid they must think the American people are.

Germany declared war on us before FDR did, so I would not take that into question on this issue.

I love it when the Libs parade around bantering about this or that and display their true colors for all to see.

It is like Lemmings falling off a cliff as they follow their Moranic leaders.

The following are indicators that Libs are hitching their wagons to falling stars:

1. When the liberal media has to inflate their circulation numbers for the shareholders, you have to ask where the readers are going to get their information?

Drudge, WNS, NewsMax and scores of other non-liberal internet sites and The New York Post.

2. Where are cNN, MSNBC and a host of other left leaning news organizations in the cable ratings?

Buried under the Fox News avalanche.

3. If so many Americans are against the war, where are the protestors? The large gatherings of anti-war demonstrators in Washington D. C.? The traitorous anti-war ex-military types like John Kerry?

HEY LIBS! Maybe Real Americans prefer we exterminate these vermin in the streets of Baghdad rather than Seattle. Perhaps Real Americans could care less if we hold these cockroaches in Gitmo or any other roach motel around the world. If this American had his way I would order summary executions of terrorists with bullets dipped in pig lard.

4. The Democratic Party is the party represents all the people.

Sure it is LIBS.

The party of Moral Religious Leaders: Jesse (the pickpocket) Jackson, Al (I ain't so Sharp) ton.

The party of the Peoples Advocates: John (Crazy Eyes) Dean, George (I vant to rule da vorld.) Soros, and a myriad of lowly educated Hollywood types who believe income equals intelligence. Tom Cruise please work on that GED.

The party of Sanctimonious Senators: Nancy (the Wicked Witch of the West) Pelosi, Teddy (pass the potatoes and gravy) Kennedy, John (I wish Teddy would leave some leftovers) Kerry, Barbara (If only I had a brain) Boxer, Dick (@#$$%^^&^ *&^%$%$#) Durbin and the front runner Hillary (Born Again Conservative) Clinton.

The party of (I only Represent myself) Representatives: John (If I spoke faster I would have a stroke) Conyers, Sheila (loudmouth Texan with 2 last names) Jackson Lee and finally Cynthia (I hate everyone and everything because I’m Irish) McKinney.
I have to agree with the Libs that these are the best representatives their party has to offer.

5. The most telling indicator would be the Red-Blue Map of America after the last Presidential election.

(Libs there is no way that an incumbent President gets reelected by the margin he did and coattails new seats into the Senate and House without immense support.)

So all you KoolAid drinking Amerikans of the Liberal persuasion who believe in the separation of Church and State, the killing of babies, same sex marriage, big government liberal spending, right to not work welfare programs, International tribunals, the UN running the world and that God does not exist, I have a message for you:

Real Americans don’t think the same way you do and we will always be the majority. Just keep getting your face in the press and there will be no need for a Nuclear Option in two years.

mtboone, if you check your WWII history (which I did before I posted
my message), you will find that Germany did not declare war on the
US until December 11, 1941 which was reciprocated on the same date
by the US. Germany somewhat arrogantly did not consider the US much
of a threat against their military machine and there were many in the US
Congress who were very much against getting into the war. It was only
when we were viciously and unexpectedly attacked on December 7, 1941,
did the "sleeping giant" awaken and get into the conflict that would change
the course of world history forever.

While we are at war the enemy within conspires to impeach the standing C.I.C. This approach will certainly serve to contract their already contracted base.
