If you take into account all the polls taken since 2000 or so there is a commonality there. There seems to be a demographic of around 22-28% that are fuelled by pure raw hatred.

No matter what you ask them they frame all issues in how does this relate to my hating Bush. No matter the topic even to the heights of supporting treason, or hoping for failure in Iraq.... as long as it hurts Bush.

Spite, spite, spite.

No clear thinking person with the slightest understanding of Math would have supported Gore's attempt of techno/math gerrymandering by way of selective vote recounts in only precincts where he was sure to gain some leverage statistically.

Now we've got eight years of self loathing and America hating to thank them for.
