On Drudge, there is a link to a Houston Chronicloe story about a Regan High School prinicpal who flew the Mexican flag over the school today. I urge you to check it out. The School Board ordered the flag removed, and is considering disciplinary action. I urge you to contact the Houston ISD and express your opinion. I emailed a contact at the ISD and called Regan itself. This really got me boiling. Does Mexico fund Houston schools? No. Does Mexico even pay penny one to the Houston ISD for the education of its citizens here illegaly? Is not Houston part of the United States? What kind of inane message did this fool send to students and what kind of insult to loyal Americans? PS I am a hispanic American with loyalty only to the United States of America. These dunderheads protesting "Mexico, Mexico" are, in my opinon, idiots. If Mexico is so d*** great, what are you doing here? Thank you Jesus I was not born in that pathetic country.

There have been several of these flag episodes including a Californicated school where the US flag was flown inverted beneath the Mexican flag. Michelle Malkin has a list.

WWIIVetsDaughter, my wife is also of Hispanic ancestry and also from the Houston area. She couldn't agree with you more. In my opinion, this isn't only about Illegal Immigrants but is spurred on by some with different intentions (MEChA and La Raza).

May I ask why the Mexican government is not paying back the U.S. when, for example, we provide medical care to a Mexican citizen here illegally? That type of arrangement might help. A tax on Mexico might encourage them to clean up their act internally, as well as secure their own borders.

Now there's a good idea FDL. Let's send em a bill.
Maybe the govt. wouldn't have to do it. Maybe citizens could file a class action to do it. Since it's our tax money that paying for all the medical care, why can't we get reimbursed from the Mexican govt.
I really like the sound of that one.
