I feel so strongly, that the boonie hat JFK says HE received from the special forces can be DATED. Textile paterns are often copyrighted and a date would be registered at that time, and other forensic evidence could be obtained (SEEDS & SPORES) because Vietnam has Flora and Fauna that are unique to SE Asia.

These issues could dispel any claims if the hat was too new, or found to be native to the USA.

Those hats and many other types were for sale by sidewalk vendors and other small stores throughout Viet Nam. I bought some myself. I just never thought to say I got them from a CIA agent. That does make a better story you know.

Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and the Philippines. Might be smarter to see if there's a tag in it, because the CIA would have "sanitized" it before use. If there's a tag, it's a fake. It might even be possible to trace it to the purchaser from the tag info (that would be a LONG shot, but weirder things have happened).

Authenticity would be a key issue in any defamation suit. I bet that hat will get eaten by the dog soon. Laughing
