Having experienced 3 presidential "losses" in my adult life, none have left me with the foreboding and trepidation that I'm experiencing this evening.

God help America.

It occured to me that looking on the bright side might offer some solace.

John Kerry will NEVER have the key to the oval office loo.

well then... I'm glad I came here and found a silver lining to it.

I still think I'll be sick.

I knew things were going bad in this country. just not this bad. that people would hear his lies - so many and so obvious. and still vote for him.

shocking. and what about the coal mine workers? Ohiio, Va, PA

so much for thiem too I guess

Chins up! A house built on sand will collapse. We have to spend the next months and years preparing to do disaster relief. It will be costly. If Obama goes hard left quickly, the crash will come sooner.

I spent little time last evening on any major media other than Fox (and even that was limited...internet, ya know?), but every now and then dropped into the Pravda networks just out of morbid curiousity. On one occasion, I was treated to the vision of Reid and Pelosi with Reid waxing eloquently on the need for a new spirit of bi-partisanship and unity. While my memory might not serve me correctly, I think I caught the concept emanating from the mouth of Chris Matthews as well (if I'm wrong about Matthews, you won't have to look far in any transcripts for SOMEONE mouthing the platitude).

Fair enough. For the next 4 years I intend to unite with Obama and the democrats with the same level of "unity", comity and respect they afforded George Bush for the last 8 years.

Spell that none.

Let's get on with it.

I can't believe that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Middle-Named won.
Will he wind up being our Gorbachev and bring down the "Land of the Free and Home of the Brave"?
And, by the way, how did you like the hoisting of the Soviet flag at O's celebration? view here> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYwSGRZGoqA

As disappointed as I am, I cannot forget that we always get the government we deserve. Sad

'We' do not all deserve what is about to befall us. But have no fear, when we are in the depths of the deepest depression the world has ever known I fully intend to make sure the ones who I know voted for these Marxist/Socialists get their full share of credit every chance I get.
I might let them come over and get some green beans off my vines but just enough to keep them alive so I can rag on em a few more days.
I am usually a good loser. Not this time. This will not be 'fixable'.

If you consider that we put the government in place, then you must admit that we are responsible for it. That does not mean you or me individually, but the citizenry collectively.

Trust me, nobody is any more disappointed about Obama getting elected than I am.

Consider this an opportunity for cleaning house. If McCain had won, it would only have continued the slow bleeding to death of America by Socialism. Better a sharp blow to wake up the Conservatives to the reality of severe political hemorrhaging so they can reorganize NOW and be ready for the mid-term elections in just two years. The Obama drones won't come around until the negative effects of "Change" dash their "Hope" that the Obamessiah was different from the other race-baiting charletons who have preyed on them for decades. The good news here is, they will no longer be able to blame their misery on Bush or Republicans.

Very few people I know actually supported McCain's candidacy even though they respect his service and consider him an honorable man. He just isn't a Conservative, so, most of the support was more "anti-Obama" than pro-McCain. Now that the page has turned, it is time for true Conservatives to toss the RINOs and "moderates" out of the way and rebuild the Republican party as a Conservative party, the way it was intended. This nation needs two distinctly different parties, not a Democratic party and a "Democrat Lite" party. The RINOs and Liberals and Moderates in the Republican party ran it onto the rocks. They had their chance, they proved that their brand of "reaching across the aisle" only gets them a thrashing at the polls and leaves them with a stub where their extended hand of "partisanship" was. A new day has dawned, but instead of a bright sun shining, storm clouds fill the horizon. We need to get the weather scouts out and the rest of us fall in for duty.

Remember the mid-term election during Clinton's first term. We can only hope for it to happen again. And also hope that there is not to much damage done until then.
