You will get the press time needed to get this story told. I found it suspect that a Silver Star holder would need to continously push his story on people...........very suspect. But I always kept quiet out of respect for the award. I'm very satisfied that my suspicions were correct and only hope that the true story will asist in keeping this man from becoming CiC.

I want to let you know that although not a Viet Nam era vet, I am a Naval Cold War vet. I served in the Submarine Service 1981-86

I do want to let you guys know that I support you, believe you, and will gladly suffer the slings and arrows of the sick socialist left which has seen fit to threaten me through my e-mail after I signed up here.

The ******** must be frightened of the truth. Keep up the good work.

Great website!!

I hope you have room for an Air Force vet.

My name is Phil Warren and I spent 10 years on active duty and 20 in the ANG. I flew KC-135's out of Kadena from 71 to 74. Spent time air refueling in the Gulf, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and the South. I watched many fire fights from the safety of many thousand feet. I have the greatest respect for all who served in country on the ground.

All of us must make sure that the truth gets out. I salute all of the swiftboat vets. You have everthing to lose and little to gain by your heroic actions in Nam and standing up to the flak that is and will come your way.

Godspeed.

Welcome newbies! We're glad to have you!

Room here for vets of all branches, all eras! We're all here to support the Swifts in their mission to alert the nation as to the truth about John Kerry's history.

They even let a peacetime airedale like me hang out here, so that just proves they'll let anyone in here. Wink

Hello all,

I am a retired Navy Aviation Ordnanceman. I first enlisted in Jan 1974 served in VF-33 and got out in 1978. Then I was out for an 8 year haitus and went back into the active duty Navy in Dec. 1986. I served with VA/VFA-146, NAVCRUITDISTDEN, USS BOXER (LHD-4), NAVSTKAIRWARCEN until my retirement Dec. 30, 2002. I am proud of my service having won 2 Navy Commendation Medals (which I EARNED, unlike Kerry) and served during Desert Storm, Vietnam Era, Cold War. I am glad to have helped the fall of the Soviets from power in Russia, and defended the freedom of this great nation.

I wish to thank the Swiftboat Vets for coming out with the truth about Kerry and want to say that I fully support your efforts. In High School as an ROTC Cadet I was subjected to the epithet calling thanks in a large part to turncoat Kerry's testimony before Congress. So I can fully appreciate how you "brothers" feel. I call you brothers because those who've served are my brothers. Very Happy

I served in the U.S. Air Force 1981-1997 and the U.S. Coast Guard 1990-1994. My Father seved in the U.S. Army Air Corp and changed to the U.S. Air Force serving in WW II to Vietnam and retired in 1972. I was raised in the military and the thought of John Kerry serving as my President makes me sick. I can not understand this man who never got what it means to serve our great country. I have nothing but respect for our Vietnam Vets, but must make an exception for Johnny. He represents all that is wrong with our country. I was in Okinawa Japan serving in the 961 Awacs when the Russians shot down the Korean 747. We had a scary time of it for awhile. We did our job and worked our buts off. If Mr. Kerry has his way your accomplishments will be forgotten and altered beyond recognition.

AQ1 Sore Loser reporting as ordered

Bird farm Sailor of the highest degree
USS Enterprise, VA 196 - The Main Battery 71-75
Three trips sitting off the coast making sure those Mark 82s all of my ordy brothers humped up to a MER 18 hours a day, got to where the BN wanted them. [Mark 82= 500 lbs of ruin your whole day, MER = Multiple Ejection Racks that held up to 6 Mark 82s or other weapons, BN = Bombadier/Navigator or the right seat of an A6 Intruder]

Yea Steve Coonts of "The Golden Intruder" fame was in my squadron for one of the 3 cruises. Yea most of that stuff in the book (never saw the Movie) happened, just not a board our ship. Actually he was in the squadron, I was assigned ships company when aboard. We only crossed paths a few times. Bravo Zulu dude.

My most vivid memory of the war was in April or May 75, standing on the flight deck, about 8 miles off the coast, watching the sky lite up thanks to VC rocket attacks on Tan Son Nhut and Saigon, the last 2 holdouts, and then sometime shortly thereafter the lights of freedom going out in that country forever. Standing there feeling angry, helpless, frustrated. Still do. Best memory because of the war: Besides my buddies, being invited to a fine young engineers house in London, Ontario, Canada 10 or 12 years ago, a young man who as a kid, after his dad was released from a re-training camp managed somehow to scrape together enough money to get him and his brother out of Viet Nam on a boat, who then ended up in a refugee camp in Singapore I think, who finally got picked up by Canada, and sent to school. Who after all that felt obligated to have me and my family to his house for a multi course Vietnamese meal to thank me for my service to his country. After several hours of conversation I walked away, not so angry, not so frustrated.

Thank you so much.

I know how hard it must be for some of you guys to come forward after so many years trying to forget and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing so.

Going before the public to speak out against another veteran must be the hardest thing many of you have ever had to do in your lives but America deserves to hear the truth about this man who would presume to be our next president.

Personally, I went to Vietnam in 1969 while serving on the USS James E. Kyes DD787 and it made me sick with rage when I returned home to Boston to find another sailor who was there (Mr. Kerry) had become the anti-war media’s poster boy for cutting and running.

That same sickening rage recently returned when I had to listen to this toady of the left wing declare that he would “never cut and run and leave the people of a country to whatever follows” in his convention speech. Well, why don’t we just ask the Vietnamese refugee community what they might think about that particular lie? The most shameful images I’ve ever had to watch on TV in my entire life was the images of those poor people clamoring to get on one of those last choppers out of Saigon as we were running away. God help the poor people of Iraq if this man should get elected.

John Kerry lied about us before congress and, in doing so, turned our own generation against us and now he presumes to refer to us as his band of brothers. What a pompous arrogant jerk.

Again, I know this is not easy for you Swifties but this man must be stopped and the truth must finally come out about his lies and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what you are doing to stop him.

I applaud your efforts. John F'n Kerry should never be given command of these armed forces. Keep up the good work and keep the commercial running.

While I did not serve on SwiftBoats, the boats I did serve on WERE swift. Fast Attack Submarines! Retired Senior Chief! Thanks SwiftVets for what you're attempting to accomplish. I am a member of the American Legion, The North Shore Honor Guard, and the Commander of a Submarine Vets group in South Louisiana. I am not a member of the VFW, and glad I am not. They are allowing kerry speak at their convention. Doing so gives him license to claim the VFW endorses Kerry for President. Screw the VFW!!!!

Howdy,

I am Bob Crago, USN 67-73, ETR-2. My tour was Aug. 69 to Nov. 70. My primary base was NSF DaNang. My duties were boat operations support regarding UHF communications, surface search RADAR (path finders) plus crypographic equipment (secure communications). Cu Lai, Dong Ha, Cua Viet to name a few. Area of operation I Corp Tactical Zone, TF-116, TF-117.

Our group did assist with Swift Boats, if needed, but usually supported the Mobile Base One, and the (PBR) River Div. 54 northern sections and bases below the DMZ. We also trained South Vietnamese Sailors in communications and RADAR operations, repair, and installation.

We worked under the Cho Hoa program to win the hearts and minds of the people by bringing in supplies and help to villages, a noble effort.

I'd like to thank the people of this organization for their dedication to bringing the truth forward. Everyone of them are true American heros.

All USN personnel with a Vietnam tour under their belt will remember the times after Kerry talked to the Senate. We sat quitely then but now we will not!!!

Bob Crago

I would like like to say that I respect and admire everyone who has EVER worn the uniform. Those that have fallen paid the ultimate sacrifice to our beloved country, and woe to those that seek to use our armed forces as a tool to get themselves elected.

Just today I heard about Sen. Kerry mentioning that had he been president with the same intelligence that President Bush had, he would have done the exact same thing that President Bush did - send troops to Iraq (even with a lack of WMD).

Now what I find is disturbing is that both he and his running mate both serve on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, were given the same intelligence that President Bush received, and agreed irroquically with the president on Iraq. And yet he has the temerity to denounce the President on Iraq. Come on!
