Some of you guy's have brought up a perfect solution to the only defense that the DU has had about this ad. They contend that you Swifties did not serve with Kerry, that is all they have. Someone get to Mr. O'Neil and use that photo tonight. Kerry posted it and ran an ad verifying that the Sailors in that photo are the ones who he served with. Don't let this free opertunity slip by. Swifties have demanded that Kerry stop using that photo in his ad's. Now slap him in the face with it. This is our big chance to end that ridiculious claim that you did not serve with him. This is a major flip flop that is current in everyones mind. Sean Hanity will continue to run with it long after the show is over to anyone who contends that SVFT did not serve with Kerry. Semper Fi.

Democrats make for terrible historians. If we followed their weird logic of, “these vets did not serve on Kerry’s boat”, so therefore their accounts cannot be trusted, then history would not be written.

The vets that did not serve on Kerry’s boat, but are speaking out with the truth, served on boats that ran beside or behind Kerry’s, and fought in the same battles.

How many battles in history have you read that follow this Democratic logic? NONE!! Read any account from any battle and you will learn how history is told.

When Stephen Ambrose wrote about the European Theater in WWII, he accurately told the story of that entire campaign from storming the beaches of Normandy to Germany’s surrender. He weaved together his narrative from countless numbers of soldiers’ accounts that explained what they saw happen from “hundreds” of yards away. But, Ambrose did this by corroborative evidence from many soldiers who saw the same thing from “hundreds” of yards away.

SVBT have done the same thing – they have many accounts from many vets who corroborate the same story. That is history, and that would be strong evidence in a court of law.

Edited to add comment from "Unfit for Command" --

From page 15 of Chapter 3 posted on this website:

"In "Tour of Duty", Kerry presents the first Swift incident on the Bo De as a 'massacre' of Swiftees with seventeen wounded caused by the incompetence of all commanders whom he chose to blame rather than the vagaries of war or the enemy. Kerry’s fabrication comes even though he was not there. Joe Ponder was there as a Swiftee on the mission in question."

So, the Democratic nominee for President of the U.S. is stating as fact an incident that he did not witness. Isn’t it funny that Democrats find it truthful when Kerry describes an incident that he wasn't even involved with, but it's a lie if many SBVs who were in the same battle, in boats beside or behind Kerry’s relate what they witnessed. Democratic hypocrisy at its best!!
