I've been searching the Web for any post-Vietnam pictures that can be found of Kerry in a short-sleeve shirt. I found one of him in South America, but the angle is such that only the bottom of his right arm is visible (on purpose?)
The reason for this (if you haven't figured it out yet Wink ) is that wounds that led to the awarding of 2 Purple Hearts would presumably leave some scar tissue. This guy has worn a long-sleeve shift, buttoned to the wrists, for the last 35 years, from what I can see.
If anyone has pictures of Kerry where his arms are visible, please post a link here, maybe I'm all wet about this. Somehow, I feel I'm not, though.

Thanks a million, and keep the faith.

(And no, I don't have some kind of weird arm fetish) Heh..heh

Hi Wing Wiper,

It would be terribly difficult to find a scar that penetrated only 1-3mm into the skin and was only as big around as a toothpick - especially after all these years.

It was barely a scratch - in fact, it sounds to me as if he had to really work at it to keep it embedded long enough to get to the dispensary and get it documented Wink - half an inch long, he could have pulled it out with his fingers.

Well, that's exactly my point, isn't it? Perhaps this is why he is always wearing a long-sleeve shirt. Ya think? Wink

I thought you were up to something.

So he wears long sleeved shirts so that he doesn't have to be reminded of his scar?

Which doesn't exist?

Well, not so much so he's not reminded of it, more so people won't notice that he got 2 Purple Hearts without any visible signs of injury. See where I'm going with this? I'm not looking for any pictures of the "rice-in-the-ass" wound (yet). I wonder if the guy ever goes swimming? I bet not. Wink

I know... I was being facetious, but there isn't a good set of smilies for "facetious." Wink

I was thinking of an old boyfriend who had supposedly been a Navy SEAL just before I met him. His memories of Vietnam were "too painful" to think about. He couldn't ever tell me about what he did over there because either it was classified or it was too painful.

Posers. I still hate 'em. Wink

I hate posers, too. I went through every link I can find from a Google search on "John Kerry pictures", found a few hundred, out of that, ONE picture of Kerry in South America in a short-sleeve shirt, and the angle was such that you couldn't see anything but the bottom of his right arm. That's just weird, because there are background shots where almost everyone else is in shirtsleeves (hot day), but Kerry's buttoned to the wrists. Maybe he has some very disfiguring scars he doesn't want to shock people by showing in public? Or he's a poser.

Gee, I don't see any scars Sad Does the yellow wrist band mean he is on outpatient treatment?
