A video released last week by the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth (www.swiftvets.com), an organization aiming to refute John Kerry’s Vietnam war record, proves to be highly effective in raising questions among Independents about the Democratic candidate's military service.

The Swift Boat video – primarily a montage of outspoken Vietnam veterans claiming that Kerry has lied about his Vietnam service – was found by a majority of Independents to be persuasive, with 53.89% responding that this was the case.

What is even more amazing is that over 77% of the respondents were female. Current poll numbers have Kerry winning the gender vote by a small margin. This however would lead one to conclude that this sort of information about Kerry could change that leaning. That would be absolutely devastating.

I had NO DOUBT this ad was going to hit the Kerry campaign very hard. I CHEERED when I heard these events were FINALLY going to get some airtime.

i visit another forum that is heavily slanted towards Kerry. When these ads came out, MANY of the liberals basically gave up the fight. Where there was once only Bush Bashing, there is now posts detailing every new accusation about Kerry's activities in the early 70's. Even the liberal moderator seems to have changed his tune.

No s#it these ads are effective.
