Bush campaign person was asked why won't Bush condemn the ad? General response was that all "these ads" should be taken off, incl Kerry's. Also said vets had a right to speak out. Pres will not get involved.

Dem said: this is the same as done to McCain - and McCain was right, this is dishonorable."

Repub was pressed over & over - why won't president condemn this ad?

(just caught piece of the discussion)

There's no reason to condemn the ad. The ad is perfectly appropriate and deserved given Kerry's behavior, the behavior of those who support him, and Kerry's record. GWB can't say it, but that's why GWB refuses to condemn the ad.

Exactly. But this is another example of how the media is taking up the Dem's talking points to address this issue... in a continual effort to force the concept that "this group" was somehow "created by Bush." I hear it over & over - oh this is just a republican group out to attack JK. The media is generally dismissive of the issues - fine for the Kerry campaign & expected -- but we should not allow the media to blindly take up this banner.

We can help by continually demanding the press allow O'Neill & the SwiftVets to speak for themselves.

The President should request kerry's Form 180
The Media should request kerry's Form 180
The American people should request kerry's Form 180

I personally think the Press will push for the records. Call me gullible, but I think the american people will push the issue and the media doesnt want people turning the channel or buying a different paper. Thats just my opinion. But regardless of what anyone says, the SBVFT have earned their "Freedom of Speech". No one can tell them to shut up and personally I would like to see John Kerry try it. Its ok for his people to trash the SBVFT but dont dare question Kerry's service. It honestly turns my stomach. Everyone has called for Bush to stop it but he cant take that freedom from the SBVFT and he is smart enough to know that. Also, he doesnt know that Kerry is telling the truth. He may look at it as I do. Hmmm here we have 1 person saying he is telling the truth and here we have 200 plus, 60 with medals themselves saying they are telling the truth. The numbers is who I would personally believe.
