Does this site have any T-Shirts available to sell in order to make money for their cause? Or, should we just go to a t-shirt store and have one made - with Swift Boat Veterans For Truth on the front and swfitvets.com on the back? _________________ What we do in life, echoes in eternity. Sites like CafePress have a service that SBVFT could setup pretty easily. It would allow people to buy t-shirts, mugs etc. with whatever artwork they choose, and would allow prices to be charged so as to make a small profit to help keep the campaign going. If one of the admins wants to make it happen, here's a link to get them going...

No financial help for SBVFT. But a Swift Boat sailor has produced a "T"
Tony Snesko had some made as part of his vigil at "The Wall" in DC.
.......
............ Reasonable price. Helps a Swiftee doing a GREAT job ...........
........
.................. As of last week he still had a few left: S, L, XL, XXL. ........

I Agree that http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/ should be used. I have seen them on many sites....its all upside to Swiftvets IMHO
People like to have those items, and all you need to have is a graphic...Like the one I am looking at in the left corner right now.
I am sure everyone wants to see the Vets able to have more ads on the air. |

I've been a professional Graphic Designer for 18 years.
If the moderators would like any t-shirts, flyers, ad slicks, bumper stickers, etc. designed, I'd be happy to oblige.
A donation of free services would be the least I could offer in support of this noble effort.
Cafe Press is the best and easiest option to get items out quickly, with no overhead cost. |

Thank you so much for this offer - I wish I had the talent to be able to offer this to the Vets. We did send $$$, however, to keep the add going. _________________ What we do in life, echoes in eternity. Marcus Aurelius, 180 A.D. |

I think something like "I support Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" with the URL would be good. |

If the mods are interested, they can contact me via my email.
All I would need are a high-res graphic and a "to do" list...I don't want to forge ahead with anything that would not have their full stamp of approval.
If the graphic on the website only exists in low-res web format, I can recreate it in high-res that is appropriate for printed materials & shirts.
I've already made myself a bumper sticker and a large window sign with the "We purchased with our blood and service the right to be heard..." quote.
Flyers/mini-posters bumper stickers could also be stored here, available for download as secure pdf files. Purchasing the items off Cafe Press is an opportunity to procure more donations, but having flyers and bumper stickers available here would also get them in the hands of people ASAP (for those with the equipment to print them out).
These items really are valuable basic marketing tools which will keep the issue in the public eye even if the elite media won't. |

Thanks to everyone for your ideas, suggestions and offers of help.
For those wishing to pursue it furthur, I would suggest you submit it to media@swiftvets.com but I'm sure, as you can well imagine, they're a bit...um...busy? right now. |

Swiftee Tony Snesko had some made as part of his vigil at "The Wall"
The demand was large enough that he has made a second run of them

I’ve had many Swift Veterans request that I do another run on our Swift
Boat Veterans Against Kerry T-shirts. {See design in post above} The
total cost, which includes Priority Mail shipping, will be between $15 & $20,
depending on the number of shirts ordered. If you are interested, please
e-mail me your order and your address. It has been requested that I
have children sizes printed also, so if you’ve got kids or grandkids, you
can include their sizes in your order.

Thanks for the contact email. I'll follow through with them.
I do plan on going ahead with creating my own personal use items, but I would not set up a Cafe Press site to sell anything without a green light or some kind of coordination & approval. This is assuming they don't already have a person to take care of it, which they might.
The logo and the identity of SwiftBoats is their intellectual property and subject to US copyright law. I feel it's important not to infringe on this.
At the same time, I feel blowing up their official SwiftVet logo to 14" wide and displaying it in the window of my car is doing my duty to help the cause. Striking while the iron is hot, so to speak. |
