Hi,

It seems that JK is getting other groups up in arms as well and this means an opportunity to cooporate exists.

See the following column and pay attention to the last paragraph:

http://www.nationalreview.com/york/york200402180840.asp

"The thing that got a few of us crawling out from under a rock, at no instigation from the White House, was that Guard service was being portrayed as being like a draft dodger."

Are there any National Guard groups to contact? I suspect there are.

Have they heard about this comment?

Perhaps they too would like to voice their opinion or at least support their fellow vets.

So, am I way of base (no pun intended) on this? Would Swifties see these folks as less than military? I would hope not.

Just a thought...

Cazador

Bush and National Guard have nothing to apologize for...kerry should apologize to the Guard and Bush.

AMEN!

National Guard and Reserve service is perfectly honorable, but it's obviously "beneath" Kerry's notice. Mad

He certainly isn't acknowledging the fact that the President did, indeed, volunteer to go to Vietnam along with three other people from his unit.

The two members with the most flight time were chosen.

Same Kerry special code of honor that insults all our allies around the world by dismissing them because they are not France.... Some with only 10 soldiers to offer - but their heart is in it ! And for some time, with his dismissal of the Guard by attacking Bush's service -- with a wave of the hand, "well, that's not worth anything!" "I was John Wayne!! All you did was fly a plane."

I've been wondering when the Guard would call Mr Kerry to account.... I hope soon -- we can't give that man a pass anymore..... Cool

Most all of Kerry's military records refer to him as USNR.
The problem is, it is Terry Mcawful who's been slamming the guard and reserves.
Sen. Kerry has been relativley silent on it.

Unfortunately, it is almost impossible for active duty Guardsmen and Reservists to speak out.

Maybe retirees could fire away. It would be nice to hear from some of them.

I would hope it would offend you. I wonder who some people think supply the manpower to defend the airspace over the United States? Who gets called out to help during natural disasters and riots? There are a lot of very experienced and dedicated people serving in the Guard units, giving up their weekends and vacation time for peanuts (usually) for their country. Thanks.
