It appears if Kerry is elected president he will run the oval office the exact same way Clinton did – it will be politicized.

Each time the U.S. was attacked by terrorists under Clinton’s watch, Clinton called in his pollster, Dick Morris. It was always the same question; how will it affect me in the polls if I strike as opposed to if I don’t? Dick would run out of the oval office with pen and paper in hand, pull his team together, and poll some people over the phone. Once he got all his data together, and documented, he’d return to Clinton with the results.

Depending on the results, Clinton would either shoot a Tomahawk missile or go on television and warn the terrorists not to do that again.

Then, came President Bush who doesn’t run his office by the poll numbers. He makes his decisions based on what he believes is right and what is necessary to protect Americans. Case in point – Iraq. Bush’s decision to hit Iraq was anything but political – all polls would’ve told him he could commit political suicide by going to war there. But, he did what he felt was right.

Now, we know that Kerry will be reactive and his reactions will be determined by the polls. He proved it today by going on the attack against our heroes, SBVT. We can look forward to a politicized white house, again, if Kerry is elected.

But, we don’t have to live with that, right? So, go out and vote and vote for BUSH!!

Unfortunately...Bush is going to loose. The American public far too often believes the media and the media is so far left, they are out for blood. Matthews proved that tonight with Mr.Thurlow.

"Unfortunately...Bush is going to loose."

How are you coming to this conclusion?

This race is still too tight to call, despite what the polls (which are also biased) are telling you. And you cannot take anything out of those polls when there is still the RNC convention, 9/11, the debates, and all the developing stories regarding about Kerry's scandalous lies. Kerry did not even get a bounce after his convention, and the momentum is clearly on our president's side.

Have faith!

I agree with bach.

In fact I will go one further. According to the latest CBS poll, Support for Kerry for veterans has dropped by at least 12 points....so far...and that was BEFORE we hit the alphabet soup today.

Once our story is carried, it gets worse. Kerry IMHO is clearly tanking. It may take a few days for the polls to show it, but I can sense it.

Kerry got absolutely NO bounce from his convention.

Bush will get a bounce from his. He's going to talk about what he's accomplished over the last 4 years.

1. He helped the country recover from 9-11. People have forgotten - our economy took a BIG hit on 9-11. And we are now in the 11th straight month of economic growth.

2. He cut taxes like he said he would. And it led to economic growth as he said it would.

3. He came through with a Prescription Drug Plan, as he said he would.

4. He dealt with the illegal immigrant situation by coming up with plan to give these people a way to become citizens, as he said he would.

5. He dealt with declining standards in education with his No Child Left Behind Act, as he said he would.

6. He also fought two very successful military campaigns (and, ok, messed up one occupation, but things are improving greatly), deposed two brutal regimes, liberated about 40 million Muslims, and has kept Al Queda from launching another successful attack on US soil for almost 3 years.

Kerry had a Convention where he said "Vote for me because I served in Vietnam for 4 months over 30 years ago!"

No mention of his long career in the Senate.

No mention of his anti-war radicalism and his anti-American activity.

At the Presidential debates, Kerry and his guys are going to make the same mistake that Al Gore did. They are going to believe their own propaganda............that Bush is a MORON.

Gore found out reeeeeaaaal quick at the first debate that George W. Bush is NOT a moron. But it was too late.

Bush will not focus on Kerry's Vietnam service at all. He doesn't need to. (Thanks Swift Vets!). Instead, he will focus on the one thing Kerry DOESN'T want to talk about: the most liberal voting record in the Senate.

Kerry will try to go to Vietnam again and again and Bush will keep going back to Washington and Kerry's Senate years.

I LOVE it!!!!

Bach,

If you recall, in 1994, media was trashing republicans. They won every open seat and did not lose one to the democrats. We picked up about 64 seats in the house and five in the senate and have controlled them since (With the exception of a few months after Jumping Jim Jeffords defected. During all this period, the Major New Media have been totally pro democratic.

In 2000, The Major News Media was clearly behind gore until he became so untennable and they had to finally had to drop him..

In 2002, the Major News Media tried to defeat every republican, and we picked up 12 seats, two in the Senate..

Because of talk radio and the internet, the Major News Media has increasingly lost their influence. They will be forced to realize this in the upcoming Presidential Election. Their day is over!!!

All the polls that I looked at so far have the following consensus: whatever slight lead Kerry had after the convention is rapidly sinking, and
Bush is certainly gaining momentum is key battleground states, while his base is steadfastly solidifying. The President's job approval ratings is climbing higher and higher. This is even before the Republican convention! While it is certainly good to look at the polls, the most important thing is to never be arrogant ( like those Democrats) or discouraged and always assume that this is a tight race until the end - when the truth will prevail and the right choice will be CLEARLY made.
Godbless the swiftvets!
