As usual, since the BBC is more lefty and anti-Iraq-liberation and anti-Bush than the NYT, it's a Bush surrogates making all sorts of nasty claims suddenly before an election, and Kerry valiantly fights back type of story.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3581900.stm

Their first-paragraph is as follows:

(Photo: John Kerry received five medals for bravery in the Vietnam war)
US presidential contender John Kerry has accused rival George W Bush of using a front group to launch underhand attacks on his Vietnam war record.

Thanks, but no thanks. I prefer to read Mark Steyn and Tim Blair. Wink

I responded to the editor of BBC.

Kerry is challenging Bush on the issue rather than the Vietnam War Vets because he is a congenital coward that cannot bear having to give an account to the Vets for his military and post-military criminal activities.

I further told the editor that if he thinks that the SwiftVets will fizzle after the Presidential Election, he is whistling through the graveyard!

I would just as soon as have my head given to a block than to have the likes of John Kerry as my President!

Like so many of us here, I was a little young to understand why

the returning military were treated so harshly.

I think the thing that struck me the hardest, was Kerry tesifying about

the attrocities he, and his fellow soldiers committed.

Now he says he never saw that personally?

I will never understand how he could ever think that would

ever be forgiven in his lifetime, and to run for CIF is just

beyond me. I have to wonder about his frame of mind.

The young people out there need to get a better picture of this,

as if you go over to a kerry board, they sound like a bunch of

kids that are just cheering for a basketball game.

No real substance to much of their statements.

A lot of them obviously have no understanding of this matter.
