Hmpf....That is every liberal I have ever debated.

Yes -- and he goes on to say - "if you only show me that you can kick violently, I will tell you that you value yourself on what is the characteristic of an ass." And boy oh boy, are they kicking now!!!!

[quote="GenrXr"]I've been surprised at Pat's defense of the Swifites /quote]

I think the mission of the SBVFT has struck a personal nerve with Pat -- he knows who JK is and what he did -- he was there.... I don't think he's forgotten.

Without duct tape? Incredible.

OOH-YAH! When facts are on your side, you talk facts...when truth is on your side, you talk truth...when you have neither, all they do is attack the person speaking... Even duct tape can't hold Kerry together.

Joe is "leaning left" -- didn't give Gardner enough time - let Hurley blab on old points - seems biased and he needs emails about it -- Gardner's report does not have Kerry's signature, so Hurley jumps on that of course -- tho Gardner said Kerry was the only officer on the boat and would have to have written the report.

Get Joe's end comments: "If you want the truth, go to the NY Times article" -- !!! That's disgusting and misleading ... so he's on my hit list right now.... typing frenzy.... Cool

Maybe Joe needs a rest if he thinks truth can be found in the NY Times...I also was disappointed in that he did not listen nor does he understand, who it is that writes reports in the Navy....Officers do and I for one know that! Rolling Eyes

Think it's been pretty interesting that a lot of the commentators are really poorly prepped.

Juan, Matthews, Scarboroughm, Olberman...

I don't understand it. It's like they're deliberately not learning about this topic. This is their job, they would never be so poorly prepped on other topics. What are they thinking?

I know I sometimes won't bother looking at my checking account because I don't want to know how little is there. I won't want to deal with that reality. i wonder if this is the same thinking?

(I still gave $50 and and more when I get it)

I'm surprised you guys are surprised. Very Happy

Most of these guys read the MSM for most of their information. Even the right leaning press has not been specific on things like why Thurlow's citation report isn't that damning.

We've talked about it.. read the blogs about it. But how should Joe know about that from reading the MSM?

The problem is that while the message is getting out, the spin is really starting to hurt it. The MSM is making it look like unwarrented attacks.

What they need is to go get Glenn Reynolds or another blogger that's been keeping up with this.

Joe has not done his homework. It is obvious he is not even familiar with the basic facts. He didn`t even seem to be aware of the fact that there was a #44 and #94 boat. Stephen Gardner was on the #44 boat and Joe didn`t seem to know that. But Pat Buchanan made up for all of Joe`s inadequacies so overall we hade another big win tonight.

....Scarbough does appear poorly informed. He did a weak job. He let that lying-loudmouth Hurley carry on way too long with sheer non-sense. Whatever happened to Hurley's claim that noone was qualified to speak unless they served on Kerry's boat? Hurley wasn't on Kerry's boat -and wasn't even in Vietnam when Kerry was. What a hypocrit!

But Kudos to Buchanan! I thought he blew Kerry's boat out of the water - and was aiming for more, then wimpy Scarbough cut him off.

Buchanan obviously remembers. Love to see Buchanan do a future show on Kerry's 1971 anti-American book, and the long list of communists and lunatics that Kerry frequently protested with. Ramsey Clark, Fonda, etc.

A funny thing was, here Scarbrough and Hurley know ahead of time they are going to be trying to take Gardner down, but they didn't have a clue his association to Kerry. They were totally unprepared:)

I've always loved Pat. I thought it was hilarious when Pat had to act the unpartial host of Hurley and Steve because of technical difficulties with Joe, then as soon as he back to guest mode, he lambasted Hurley. I was pleasantly surprised.

Maybe I'm mistaken but , it isn't Hurley the guy who tried to strongarm some vet who said Kerry was at the Kansas City assassination meeting? If so, why isn't he getting blasted for it?

I just sent Joe an e-mail ( joe@msnbc.com ) expressing to him our disappointment with his poor performance and his obvious lack of knowledge of even the basic facts. For this important assignment he should have read Unfit for Command and even Douglas Brinkley`s book of fiction, Tour of Duty. I hope all of us will take the time to e-mail Joe before his Sunday night one and a half hour special. I know he is in a tenuous position at msnbc but he has an obligation to be fully informed so his viewers will not be confused.

If you notice, most of the hosts on the cable outlets (even Fox) have very little knowledge of the story. They haven't read the book (except for a couple), and so they allow people like Hurley to spew lies. Several weeks ago Hurley was on and said that Kerry's boat was "inoperable" but yet it towed the "3" boat to safety. Huh? Scarborough let that one go by unchallenged.

The only way to remedy this is to write, write, write these people and tell them to read up on the story before they allow themselves to be made to look like fools. Make a special group in your email program and fire off those letters!

Also, it's time to start demanding Kerry's Band of Brothers to go on air, rather than Kerry Campaign people like HURLey. He wasn't there, he's a partisan hack for Kerry and knows nothing about what happened, only what Kerry has told him.

Another thing that really stuck out was the manner in which Hurley retold the latest version of the Cambodia story.

He just started talking even faster than he usually does and got into more detail (i.e. 'at around 6:00...'). It's as if he was just spitting out something he'd spent all day memorizing.

I guess all the talking heads were back with Kerry getting their stories straight when they were pulled from their appearances Thurs. night.
