I think there is time!
I train salespeople and we can do it in a weekend!!!
It just takes understanding how to answer questions. The SBVT were coached on how to stay on topic before the press conference in May, staying on topic is good, but it is not everything.
There are 2 months left for the SBVT witnesses to get interviewed by the media. THEY HAVE TO COUNT!!!
These guys can handle anything the enemy can fire at them, they just need the support. A day of training, a few exersizes to practice, and some crib notes to take to the interview/debate is all they need.
I'm not talking about polishing them up, and O'Neill is a great spokesperson, but one thing he can never say is that he knew Kerry in Vietnam. The others can and they need to get out there and put up a better fight. They need to take down the argument, not just put up the truth. The truth is only half the battle and that part the SBVT have already won.
I want to help, I will train anyone they want. I'll do whatever I can, who can I talk to to try to help? I want to volunteer! |

mjanay, contact media@swiftvets.com with your offer of help - I don't think many of them read here. I don't know if they might already have a coach set up or not.
These guys are doing a great job considering they never set out to be media punching bags. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

It just pains me to see them get beaten up by professional liars. They just need the weapons to foght back! |

|
|
I think talking points can be very very effective. There are many points being effectively made by the other side. To-the-point responses to these points are necessary.
1. WaPo story 8/22 headlines that both sides are withholding information.
RESPONSE: Story notes only 1 item being withheld by the SBVT - the diary. Kerry's was the only interview refused.
ADDED POINTS: Story confirms that Kerry's boat fled the scene. Contrast to Convention statements, and the lie is proved.
Kerry's refusal to grant release of full records deprives the public of key information - Were Kerry's words the source of the various documents' citing enemy fire?
2. WaPo story 8/22 says 3 of 5 boat commanders say the actions didn't warrant the bronze.
COMMENT: It should have said 3 of the **4** commanders besides Kerry say the actions didn't warrant the bronze. The other commander is dead. (Right?)
3. Chi Trib essay by Rood says that the SBVT viewpoint comes from people who weren't there, whereas he - Rood - was.
RESPONSE: Rood, as commander of other boat, CANNOT have witnessed the Kerry charge or how many VC were there. OTOH, the crew members quoted by S BVT WERE there and DID witness it.
ADDED POINTS: Rood got bronze while facing several or many enemy troops, while Kerry got silver? Why the difference?
4. There's allegation that statements from two of the SBVT in support of Kerry in previous election conflict with current statements.
RESPONSE: There is no conflict. The two SBVT believed then as they do now that the shooting of the loinclothed or otherwise dressed VC was not a war crime. The issue is whether the actions were meritorious enough for the medal won.
ETC. ETC. |

Heya 4MoreYears, I was interested in the source of your quote and found it online, which might interest others. From an interview with the Harvard Crimson:
“I’m an internationalist,” Kerry told The Crimson in 1970. “I’d like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations.”
Details are at http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=357339. _________________ -- Bill in Seattle |

It seems to me that every Swifty on the circuit as well as any interviewer worth his salt, should be asking whatever representative of Kerry is present "Why will Kerry not sign the 180?"
This should be done every time a claim is made about navy records and documentation. These Kerry mouth pieces are getting a pass on their pounding on these citations.
Ask the question, demand the full disclosure. Is Kerry affraid of disclosing everything? Is there something he's hiding? If not, make it public. Demand disclosure over and over again until everyone wants to know the truth, until he makes them public, or it becomes evident to everyone he's hiding something.
And what about this journal of his? Wouldn't you like to get a look in there. I'm betting Kerry makes himself sound more like Audie Murphy if you look at his writings. |

Easy guys!
The bottom line on the Malking debacle on little Chrissy's show was this: it was an interview of a person who did not write a particular book by a buffoon who did not bother to read it before the interview.
Malkin was on to speak about HER book, and got sucked in by little Chrissy into doing this topic before that of her book. She didn't even get to do her book by the way.
That little Chrissy would even attempt to interview someone like that without even bothering to read the book is unprofessional at best, and idiotic at worst. It just shows his character, or lack thereof. He thinks he can just bully people by blustering and talking over them, a typical liberal tactic by the way.
And you have to give Michelle credit: she blew little Chrissy's cork when she asked "Why don't you ask John Kerry that?" at the end. No subtlety there! It just screamed "Why doesn't Kerry defend himself by signing the 180 and letting the facts do the talking?"
That was poetry! And little Chrissy's reaction was priceless. Read the "interview" and you will see. It made up for any mistakes she might have made. Michelle can flawlessly defend her own books, but defending other's is the job of the author, and O'Neill is more than capable of that. Little Chrissy was just looking to trip someone up. |
