Howdy Mates,
I am Bob Milican, Nam Vet USN. I was a Radarman 3rd class, served two tours in Nam, one aboard USS Falgout DER 324 in 67. We were part of Operation Market Time, and worked as a support and supply ship for swift boats. That intrigued me so I signed up for in country duty, but instead of the swifts I was assigned to the Mobile Riverine Force, River Foltilla 1, River Assault Squadron 9, River Division 92. I was the radioman, and coxswain aboard ASPB A-92-4 from 2/68 to 9/68. I was wounded 9/6/68, and after recovering I returned to my unit in late October. Of our original crew of 6, only the engineman, EN2 Tom Etheridge, and myself completed the full year tour. During that time our boat took a lot of small arms fire, and 7 RPG hits, three of them on 4/4/68. It was the adventures that you Swifties had the got me into the river boats. You seemed like a brave bunch of guys and I wanted to be counted amoung you. I thank you for that I have never regretted for one moment serving in country, and being a muddy water sailor.

Hey, I'm old and cranky too...

But I love being around vets, even though I'm just a one-tour-wonder. Wink

This is a great place to trade lies and hear sea stories. I don't have any, you see - being just four years total and never having gone to sea.

But, I love reading all your stories! Smile

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad TROLL TAKE NOTE: This web site is meant to be.

John Kerry labeled the current administration as divisive. Imagine that!! Now, he gets to see how it feels to be on the other end. Hanoi John opened his own coffin, and no one can stop it, so I don't know why they keep hounding GW to stop it. Anyone with half a brain knows a grassroots efforts can't be turned off that easy.

Oh yes, regarding reservists, Little doc was one too. And the wounds I treated couldn't be covered by band-aids. I spent a long time in NAVHOSP Yokosuka for my own little part of the war. Thank God for a couple of quick-thinking Marines - I live today, and get to see Kerry fall.

kerry should be tried for was crimes. I served with several hundred sailors, and soldiers. Never did I see any of the things that ******* lied about. Perhaps I just had a sheltered tour of duty, and I was there in 68. Maybe the men there in 69 were of a different nature...... either that or the puke is a liar hmmmm what should one believe ???? a coward or the type of honorable men I served with..... Now there is a dilemma!

Someday I might tell you all what I really think of that pile of manure, but for now the watered down version will have to do.

MGB (machine gun bob) aka baby killer bob (according to kerry)

Hello everyone! My name is Kelly. I am a Veteran, although not a Vietnam Vet. I served on board the USS Gonzalez DDG-66, and USS Harry S. Truman CVN-75 from 97-01. Even though I am not a Vietnam Vet, I fully support this group and what they have to say. If I were still in the Navy, I would not want to serve under John Kerry as a Naval Officer, or Commander in Chief.

US Army 1973-1985. Active Duty Armored Cavalry
1985-1997 US Army Reserve - Infantry

Too young for Vietnam (which, frankly, I don't regret), but I remember well all the turmoil.

US Army Airborne Ranger
1st Armored Division (Bamberg, Germany)
12 US Cavalry (scenic Fort Polk)
80th Training Division (Virginia) USAR

I hope that the Swift Vets continue to use their web site to respond to attacks. Please use the Latest News area to answer the unbelievably biased media. Fight on.
