Everybody has the right to protest anything he wants. That is the beauty of living in a democratic free society. We are all blessed to be living in such a great nation. Try protesting the mullah’s doctrines in Iran and see where that will get you…maybe a public hanging if you are lucky. All wars are bad – no doubt about it. But where were Kerry and those protestors when millions of Vietnamese/Cambodians were slaughtered after the withdrawal of American troops? Where were these same protestors when the Shiites were slaughtered by Hussein after the first gulf war? Surely the lives of these innocent civilians must have meant something to them? Did they too condemned the North Korean’s policy of imprisoning generations of an entire family if one member speaks out against the government? Or is Bush truly the “satan” and “Hitler” some of them considered him to be? Go ahead and protest all they want...that is their blessed rights. I, on the other had, will pick up a sign supporting our troops and supporting the liberation of millions of Afgans/Iraqis who are now liberated from tyranny. |
