I think O'Reilly likes Kerry because they are both supercilious and condescending in tone and in content, with the only difference being O'Reilly talks about "the folks." |

"SAFE" -- he's always looking for safe. I thought he looked a fool. There are serious accusations leveled at him, and he avoids all interviews and sends out sundry folk to take the fire for him, to cover him, he blames other people for everything -- and then when he finally decides the public is worthy of hearing him be interviewed, he goes on a comedy show. The man is a FRAUD and a COWARD. |

I used to be a fan, but the only way I'd trust O'Reilly again is if he came out with something like this:
"At first glance, I condemned the SBVT. On the surface, to me it appeared to be a smear campaign of the worst kind... Then I started to do what it is we media folks are SUPPOSED to do and did some investigating. What I discovered were some serious concerns about Kerry's character. I discovered that the man I once admitted an admiration for is seriously flawed at worst, and at best, there are charges which must be answered. I apologize to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for my rush to judgement, and implore Senator Kerry to answer these allegations directly instead of dismissing them as vast-right-wing-conspiracy tactic. And THAT'S today's No Spin Zone."
IF Bill were man enough to say words to that effect, I'd become a premium member.
As it is, I think Hannity and Hume have my audience share.

I used to think BaBa O'Reilly was worth watching until he backed down sheepishly and repeatedly against Michael Moore's simple question: "Would you send your son/daughter to Iraq to fight for this country?" BaBa was absolutely silent and looked like a deer in the headlights.
This came down during the DNC in Boston a few weeks ago when BaBa made such a big deal that "We've got Michael Moore coming on my show and the fur's gonna fly." He proved to me he's all talk & no action

I thought that whole interview was nothing more than hypothetical non- sense. Nobody 'sacriofices' their son for Fallujah. None of the lies in F-9/11 were discussed. They just asked each other a bunch of 'would you kill Hitler...chicken or the egg' type questions. The answer to the question either doesn't matter since the situation will never occur or there is no correct answer.
I was pretty disappointed. |

I heard O'Reilly claim the other night that whatever Kerry did in Vietnam doesn't matter, that it's what he did "after" he came back that does. Which is ridiculous since Kerry is the one deliberately using his service record as a major platform for his campaign, and that's why it matters!
In general I like O'Reilly on where he stands on must issues however, like everyone else, he's also bound to be wrong.
I think he just doesn't like seeing Vets fighting among themselves so he would rather not take any sides in order to prevent being seen as biased or partisan instead of looking for the truth. |

I have been very disapointed with Bill O'Reilly about the swiftvets. I get a feeling he is friends with John Kerry. |

I think he admitted to an admiration of, if not friendship with the Senator... Maybe he did say they were friends... Anyone recall?

ABC nightly news (national) and Nightline had a story on a ton of DNC and moveon.org, etc connections. Hopefully now that they did the research everyone else will run with it. DNCs current lawyer is moveon.org's lawyer (Sanders) etc. I was surprised that Oreilly didn't break this will needed news. |

Son of the Godfather,
I heard him say he was good friends with both Kerry and his wife during the democrat primaries on the radio. |

He commented on his show right after his first take on this issue that he and Kerry went back a long way.
He may agree with questions about anti-war activities, but he has also repeatedly defended Kerry "the war hero" based on his belief of Jim Rassman's story. I don't think his "fair and balanced" self has figured out that Rassman has multiple versions of the story. Maybe Bill needs to use his self-touted journalistic abilities to ask the right questions about this life-saving event.
Oh yeah, and there's always asking his "friend" Kerry to sign the 180!!!
One thing I don't understand about all of this hoopla is why it is so controversial to question any VN veteran's record? The supporters make it seem like it's sacreligious to question any vet. I admire and appreciate the people who served, and I know there are those who never discuss their war service. But, if you put yourself out there as the War Candidate, you've gotta have the guts to back up your claims.
It all goes to character, and although I think Kerry is a one, I don't think he has any.
Go SwiftVets! |

I wonder if Bill O'Reilly was paying attention to the Speak Out poll on the Fox News website, where over 80% of the respondents said that they did NOT want the Swift Boat Veterans ads taken down. (The last number I saw was 87%, I don't have the latest figure).
But if 80-plus percent of Fox News viewers want to see SBVT ads, maybe O'Reilly might get the idea that his ratings might go down if he disparages SBVT, and that he's "spinning" the wrong side of this issue! _________________ The traitor will crater! |
