No such luck Walt. Not everyone can say -"These colors won't run."
Speaking of colors, can someone find an emoticon of Old Glory? I love to see her ripple. Thanks |

I'm not sure Craig would be familiar with that expression ... anyway, welcome back! Good idea on the emoticon - anybody? Semper Fi! _________________ Walt Jones (USMC, '65 - '69) It says much about the person who defends a man with no honor. |

Sparky, mikest, Craig, Nolan: Here's your challenge: Find a Marine who thinks this picture doesn't make whoever was involved in it a slimeball. Come on guys, you can do it! Better be careful though; I'd stand back a ways when you show it to 'em. Wonder what that old jarhead, Zell Miller, will think? Hmmm ... _________________ Walt Jones (USMC, '65 - '69) It says much about the person who defends a man with no honor. |

I just want to say that I never saw any Marine mistreat any Vietnamese. We tended to help them whenever we were near them by giving them opened C-rations or fixing the cuts and scrapes. My guys even helped some of us "Docs" get into Hue to volunteer at the Provincial Hospital. I was with Bravo 1/4 3rd Mar Div and they were the best group of guys anyone could serve with. I was there from 67-68. People like Kerry got Marines killed when the protestors would get the bombing to stop for awhile. Two weeks after the bombing would stop we would get the crap kicked out of us because the VC supply lines were once more open. Kerry should have know that but he still went ahead and protested so he in effect got Americans killed.
As far as his Purple Hearts, sure I put bandaids on a lot of shrapnel wounds but none of my guys wanted to leave because of a little scratch. I stepped on a booby trapped grenade and spent 5 months in the hospital in Viet Nam and Guam. After Guam, I went back to Nam at Quang Tri on limited duty to finish my tour. If I had submitted my other combat scratches before the Big Boom I probably would still have gone back to Nam. You won't catch me voting for little rich boy Kerry. _________________ "You're just jealous because the voices are talking to me." Viet Nam Vet, Semper Fi |

Kerry = liar, slanderer, no honor. That's what this is about. End of story.
