Question for some attorney out there:
Since the NY Times masthead saying for years, and years has been "All the News That's Fit to Print," can we file a class action for false advertising and ask for punitive damages?? _________________ Ed Liptak

Back in the days of streaking, I believe that was:

Hey partner, we got the same problem in eugene oregon. Wegot this rag that touts itself as an independent newspaper. You would think kerry was the editor, if anything good was printed about repub's or swifty's it would be between garage-sales and used pick-ups, usually on the last page??? _________________ MOPAR-BUYER |

Yesterday, the Des Moines Ragister actually printed a story about an Iowa Medal of Honor winner calling "Kerry a traitor"! Front page, too! Heads are gonna roll, if they haven't already! Oops, the phrase, "Heads are gonna roll" may not be as popular anymore. LOL.
Never be enough for me to re-subscribe, though. Talk radio's enoough, thank you.
BTW, the DM Ragister's motto on front page is "The Newspaper Iowa Depends Upon". Yeah, go ahead and end a sentence with a preposition, everyday. Only in Iowa.

For over a decade the the big local daily, the Arizona Republic was published by 'Duke' Tulley. He appeared at public functions in the full dress of an Air Force Colonel, chest full of salad portraying himself as a flying ace of both Korea and 'Nam. He brow beat all comers with his swagger and braggadocio. His own paper never questioned it. Sen. Barry Goldwater (AF General Reserves) didn't smell it. This charade ran on for years until a civic group arranging an honorarium asked the Air Force for input on the great hero...they'd never heard of him!
Weened on McGovern radicalism and swelled by the image of Woodward and Bernstein modern journalists have lost any inquisitiveness and are smuggly content that they are defending the republic by defeating the Nixon they see in every Republican, snidely critiquing common american beliefs and completely ignorant to the fact that they've become the running dog lackies of the DNC. |
