Thanks, ccr! I've been brushing by this theory - that the truth is just so outrageous that his supporters must go into denial mode or suffer mental damage - for months now, and I think you've hit the nail on the head. It isn't just bias we're facing: it's that same old river in Egypt!

I think Dobbs smells blood in the water with Kerry's insistant refusal to release records. Just this morning, Meehan was claiming the party line that all records had been released on the Kerry web site (and that Kerry was indeed in Cambodia on Christimas!) I think some of the MSM folks are getting peeved that the Kerry-ites are perfectly willing to insult even the intelligence of their friends in the media by continuing to repeat tales that are demonstrably false. Some in the press are poised to pounce on Kerry in pursuit of an exclusive. If that happens, it's over for Kerry.
