This is absolutely disgusting. Look at the cover picture of John Kerry's book. more than 6000 American marines died to raise Ol' Glory on Iwo Jima.

http://johnkerrythenewsoldier.blogspot.com

Link contains all the pictures in Kerry's shamefull book.

Link also contains three chapters from John O'neill's UNFIT FOR COMMAND. You can read those 3 chapters online for FREE.

I posted this in both (at the time) forums some time ago:

An Insult To All Marines

The picture on the cover of John Kerry's book The New Soldier resembles the scene depicted in that famous photo of the Marines raising the flag on Mt. Suribachi. I believe that VVAW and Kerry were deliberately mocking that symbolically important event. It is apparent that the most beloved and reproduced photograph in American history - one that helped inspire our soldiers, sailors and Marines to victory in a tough campaign for our very existence and can now be found in every Marine Corps boot classroom - never made much of an impression on John Kerry, and that is still true to this day. If not, he would have apologized for such a grave insult to his country, to all who fought in WW2, and to all United States Marines. I call on all veterans, but especially ALL Marines, to avenge this insult by ensuring that John Kerry not only loses in November, but loses so badly that his political career is destroyed. That's my mission; how about you? Semper Fi! Walt (USMC ’65-’69)

Please ensure that every vet possible sees this filth from the man who would be CIC! Semper Fi!

These photos and germane, short sentences need to be seen and read by every adult American. I'm personally acquainted with many who seem not to know the depth of Flipper John's involvement 35 years ago. When we say it, they often doubt its complete veracity. However, photos and quotes cannot be doubted. Stay the course. Has anyone seen a photo of Flipper John and Hanoi Jane in closer proximity? Such a photo would greatly help the cause.

Hey Admin: Would it be possible to make this topic a sticky? Otherwise the same thing will happen again - most people never heard of or saw this picture, which I believe says a lot about Kerry and the VVAW. Can we "sticky" it for at least awhile? Pretty please? Thanks and Semper Fi!

OOPS! Sorry RV, when I said "closer," I meant closer than the photo you referenced. My sister told me she saw a photo of them riding together in the back of a pickup truck. I've not seen it but have seen ALTERED photos that show all manner of disparagement and proximity to many things. My intent was to ask the newbies to this forum if they personally have authentic photos, in case someone has one more incriminating.

This one flick..book jacket cover with J.K's name ..hacks me off as much as anything I've seen on these boards. Of course, as a former jarhead, the Iwo Jima memorial has sacred standing. Distribution to the masses of this piece of crap a must. J.K. has to be held accountable.

I agree. I've done everything I can think of to get this in front of all - active or past - Marines. After the convention I plan on asking Zell Miller to obtain an apology! Surprised (yeah, right!) Anything that you and other Marines want to do with my little essay is OK; let's get it out there!!!

To me, the cover of his book "The New Soldier" encapsulates every emotion I have regarding every fault I find with John Kerry such as:

1.) His affiliation with the antiwar movement, who slandered my father and my friends fathers for their service.

2.) His socialist-marxist underpinnings, as easily discernable from the appearance of the Che Guevara look-alikes.

3.) Last, but most definitely not least, the pose and treatment of the American Flag. The utter depths of hypocrisy Kerry has managed to plumb have made me as passionate about this as I suppose some of the Anti-Bush people are about their viewpoint.

My father was a 30 year naval veteran, and was buried in Arlington. He loved our country, and he loved his Naval Service. He was buried under that flag. Some people say it is just a material object, a piece of cloth with different colors sewn together, why get upset if someone burns or disrespects it?

That is like saying the Declaration of Independence is a piece of paper with ink scribblings on it.

The flag, to me stands for what I feel is right. Honor counts in my world. So when I look at this picture of these men mocking the flag raising at Iwo Jima, it appalls me. How can these men in this picture do this? Do they have ANY idea what had happened at Iwo Jima? And the hanging of the flag upside-down...

We had a case up here in Massachusetts where some college kids hung the flag upside down outside their dorm room, in protest. They said, "We are in distress, and America is in distress." My thought was, these damn pampered kids, whose families pay good money for their education, do not have any idea what distress is. Their idea of distress was the indignation of one of their politically oriented college professors raising his voice in class against US imperiialism. If they only knew what REAL distress was like. For many Iraqis, distress was having your hands tied behind your back with a phone cord with a blindfold over your eyes, in a group of people in the middle of the night, listening while those ahead of you are beaten and shot in the head, or thrown alive onto a pile of burning tires.

So for these guys in this picture, on the cover of John Kerry's own book, to do this is bad enough. He chose the image for his book. He may have even composed it and taken it. And then, 30 years later, this is what he has to say:

(From John Kerry's Acceptance Speech, July 2004)

[/quote]"And tonight, we have an important message for those who question the patriotism of Americans who offer a better direction for our country. Before wrapping themselves in the flag and shutting their eyes and ears to the truth, they should remember what America is really all about. They should remember the great idea of freedom for which so many have given their lives. Our purpose now is to reclaim democracy itself. We are here to affirm that when Americans stand up and speak their minds and say America can do better, that is not a challenge to patriotism; it is the heart and soul of patriotism. You see that flag up there. We call her Old Glory. The stars and stripes forever. I fought under that flag, as did so many of you here and all across our country. That flag flew from the gun turret right behind my head. It was shot through and through and tattered, but it never ceased to wave in the wind. It draped the caskets of men I served with and friends I grew up with. For us, that flag is the most powerful symbol of who we are and what we believe in. Our strength. Our diversity. Our love of country. All that makes America both great and good. That flag doesn't belong to any president. It doesn't belong to any ideology and it doesn't belong to any political party. It belongs to all the American people."
Quote:

The utter hypocrisy. It hurts my insides just to read his words. For me, the picture on the cover of the book says everything about John Kerry.

from Kerry's acceptance speech, 7/2004:

That flag doesn't belong to any president. It doesn't belong to any ideology and it doesn't belong to any political party. It belongs to all the American people.

That's Americans, John F'ing Kerry, and doesn't apply to sociopathic liars and traitors like you.
