In his little poll on the site 30% of the visitors are "first time visitors",a slight majority over "daily". You think he might notice? I haven't been ther often, but would 30% sound normal,or as I expect, this numbre is quite high?

Yep. I've had enough of BOR as well. No one believes anymore that he's looking out for the folks. Yeah right. He's looking out for his ratings and is trying to attract more liberal viewers. I don't understand but I sure can't take any more of his pomposity. "Plunk your magic twanger froggie" (that's when I hit the remote button and change the channel.

Several points:

  • I didnt' realize that BOR was giving away Magellan GPS units (made by the French conglomerate "Thales Corporate Ventures") while leading the boycott of France. Quite hypocritical if true.

  • I have never heard BOR issue a disclaimer that he had written advance praise for Tour of Duty, before discussing the SBVT issue. "Doug Brinkley succeeds in humanizing John Kerry, something the senator often has trouble doing himself. Tour of Duty is an incisive look at a man that would be president." While this is not the most glowing praise ever, it still indicates that BOR has had a relationship with the KKK, aka the Kerry Kool-Aid Kamp, and has actually read the book, contrary to what I sincerely believe to be the case re: him NOT actually reading Unfit for Command.

  • I have e-mailed www.billoreilly.com Customer Service, requesting a "return shipping" address. I also intend on returning all my BOR books, as I believe he is no longer "looking out for us" and has been "spinning madly" concerning the SBVT issue. I will post this "return shipping" address as soon as I get a response. I hope I do, but I'm not holding my breath. As I have never ordered any of his books directly from his web site, I don't have a "return shipment" address already. Maybe I'll have to order one of his doormats in order to secure the address. If not, maybe his books should be shipped back to a Fox News address in NY?

  • Many Permium Members have indicated they are threatening to quit, but are continuing to hammer Bill in the Feedback Zone, in order to try and persuade him to come to his senses. I've sent him close to 25 e-mails re: SBVT, via both his Fox News e-mail address (oreilly@foxnews.com) and his Premium Member's private e-mail form. To date, I've yet to receive a single response.

  • BOR is completely ignoring what his Premium Members desire, i.e., to continue the SBVT discussion. He has stated he "doesn't care" that 62%, a landslide in any election, do NOT want this issue to die. I will continue to send him e-mails, and have encouraged all those on my personal and professional e-mail distribution lists to do so, also. I am going to post the SBVT web site address on the Feedback Zone, again, and request that fellow Premium Members consider boycotting both The O'Reilly Factor and The Radio Factor, until he comes to his senses.

Thanks for your help Markasass. I found a South Dakota return address for his Factor stuff, but I want it to go to him at FOX in NY.

I am another one who was disappointed in Bill. He seems to get off on having his little fights with Michael Moore. When I heard him dismiss the Swiftvets, I began to question him.

How could he give so much time to Moore and disregard the Vets? Wouldn't he have bigger ratings if he had both sides of the "527s" on his show? Seems to me he loves arguing with Moore, who is a fat, unAmerican traitor to the country and won't give the time of day to Vets. Something smells on the Factor.

Here's what I just posted on the Bill O'Reilly Premium Members' Feedback Zone (Subject Area: TV Show Feedback - Topic: O'REILLY OPINION POLL: Are the Swiftvets telling the truth?):

"I've not posted for a few months now, due to Bill's focus on "tabloid journalism". I've had more than enough of Peterson, Bryant, and porn stars. His irrational abuse of the SBVTs has been the final straw, though. I encourage all PMers to spend more time on the SBVT site (www.swiftvets.com), especially the Discussion Forums, consider boycotting The O'Reilly & Radio Factors (anyone realize BOR was dealing w/ Magellan GPS, a French company, while boycotting France?), e-mail BOR at Fox News & our private PM e-mail form (I've sent 25+, but not a single response to-date), realize that BOR is ignoring the "will of the people" (62% is a landslide in any election), perhaps because he wrote "advance praise" for Kerry's "Tour of Duty", & consider shipping back any books of his to Fox News. I've been a HUGE fan & supporter of Bill in the past, but his betrayal of the SBVTs means he is no longer "looking out for me", "fair-and-balanced", or "not spinning". Please wake up, Bill!"

I suppose this will probably be my last post on the BOR FZ, as Bill has been acting in concert with Kerry's "Band of Brownshirts" in order to silence supporters of the SBVT, so my Premium Membership will probably be terminated. If it is, you can be sure that all of the "new" media will hear about it, and I will be sure to provide them all with primary source documentation of this violation of the First Amendment. I can be your most loyal and best friend if treated in a fair-and-balanced manner, but I can also be your worst enemy, if betrayed by spin.

What say you, Bill?

Just a brief update re: the Bill O'Reilly Feedback Zone.

Bill is getting literally hammered by 95+% of his Premium Members re: the SBVTs.

There are so many different threads attacking Bill on this that it's impossible to keep up with them all. It's on many different Subject areas, e.g., TV Feedback (best one), Media, etc. and many different Topic areas, e.g., "OPEN LETTER TO BILL O'REILLY RE: 8/23/04 SWIFTVETS" and "TALKING POINTS 8/26 ? U R WRONG, SWIFTVETS ARE NOT LIARS" to name just a couple.

I believe The O'Reilly Factor's ratings are beginning to suffer, too, as, e.g., Scarborough Country, which has not been hammering the SBVTs, but giving them a "fair-and-balanced" approach, has seen it's ratings skyrocket this past week as compared to BOR's. Perhaps it's just because Bill's been on vacation, but I believe BOR has really turned off A LOT of viewers with his irrational intransigence.

hopefully bor will start to feel the pain of dropped ratings. If anyone has a primium membership to his web site cancel it, explain why. I don't care how He feels about kerry. Bor is a egomaniac and will flip once he sees it is hurting him

If you noticed after the man at the top of FOX endorsed Kerry the tune of O'Riley changed and all of Fox gave less support to SBVFT. Hannity still comes on strong, but Combs is a jerk. O'Riley is kissing up to his boss and will speak out only if it futhers his own future, kinda like Kerry. I don't watch the Factor as I am tired of his "Pithy" attitude. FOX will loose their viewers if they report the truth about Kerry as the SBVFT will follow Kerry until he falls. If Kerry becomes President he will be at war in Vietnam for four more years.

I'm one of the lucky ones...I didn't buy his book...[poverty helps] Laughing
Just got my email off to him..Hope it helps his ratings.. Laughing I'm like everyone else...Used to admire him, but no more...He and the MSM has to learn that there is two sides to all issues, and they should be hosted that way..Ratings and advertisers, have to be the tools to used, to educate them....

I'd sent two emails to O'Reilly asking him to open his mind a bit toward the SBVT case and at LEAST read the book. Also asked him to dedicate a show to a first-person interview (though I only missed a few shows, to the best of my knowledge - he hadn't).

My third and latest effort to email him failed (twice) - successfully sent it through my wife's email account.

Perhaps it was unfair of me to facetiously compare him to CNN & Chris Matthews, but would he block my effort to email, on that effect? Heck - it was a quip I generated after praising him for previous coverage and his book. Confused

Anyway - I bought a Premium Membership and checked out his feedback forum. A fella named Otis makes great points (RE: SBVT points) to O'Reilly in this vein.

Rovercop

BTW - because of O'Reilly's obvious bias against the SBVT, I informed him I'd been listening to Rush (staunch supporter of the SBVT) during the same time slot in lieu of the No-Spin Zone. I, apparently, wasn't the only one - he mentioned a few weeks ago some of his fans have tuned in to 'right-wing bomb throwers' instead of his show for the same reason.
