I work at the Sea-Tac International airport. Last friday the bookstore near where I work in the airport put out a dozen copies of UFC. They gave it a prominent place where everyone walking by would see. Of course I was glad to see this and decided to watch the stack and see how well they sold. Wouldn't you know it, but there was someone who'd take the display copy in the plastic stand and toss it someplace else and replace it with a copy of Bush Must Go. I noticed that that book for some reason wasn't selling at all. So I would repalce the tossed copy of UFC. This happened not once but twice. By the way, the dozen copies of UFC sold out by monday morning. 3 days!!! is selling like hot cakes.
This was just one small bookstore in an airport. Does anyone else have any bookstore watch stories? Anyone else discover sabatoge in the bookstore?
