I remember in the 2000 election cycle, all the pundits were fretting over whether George W. Bush had the gravitas to be an effective president.

In order to sound equally brilliant and overeducated, we need to decide what John Kerry lacks (aside from character, honor, etc ... the obvious) when discussing matters with the press and other really smart people.
