Uhhh... no. Wink

John Kerry has posted copies of his own documents on his web site. He has never authorized release of his service jacket by signing a SF180.

well, on one of the released medical records there was treatment for an "unknown urinary tract infection". God only knows how many urinary tract infections he was treated for.. Laughing

Most of the posts have gotten away from the original question of whether Bush signed a form 180 for public release. I read somewhere today that he has *not*. Unfortunately, I forget where, but it was probably the Weekly Standard or WORLD magazine.

Pretty close, though, is this Augu 18 Washington Times article:

Quote:
At the White House, press secretary Scott McClellan said he couldn't say specifically whether Mr. Bush signed Standard Form 180, but the president did request and release his own military records in February.

"I don't believe he signed any form, but he did authorize making his military records available publicly," Mr. McClellan said. "We have released all the records, and reporters were allowed to look at his medical records as well."

Bush probablly would sign one if asked to directly, though I have no idea what could ever be learned...pretty conclusive he learned how to fly a F-102. Bush has not claimed to have flown missions over vietnam or shot at a bunch of enemy planes or anything like that.

If democrats want to learn what where he stayed or what he ate while he was re-assigned to AL (note he did not just pack up and leave for AL without telling anyone) they probably be better off with a private detective then old NG records.

I don't know what good it would do for either politician to sign a SF 180 other than prove they can lie one way or the other or perhaps demostrate one candidate tells the truth more frequent than the other.
Even without getting the original SF 180 a copy from the enlistment period for JK should do to demonstrate his illusive and personal agenda.
Carful review of Brinkley's book and block by block check of JK's own words should be evidence envidence enough as to his honesty.
The real isue is how well did he support his shipmates and what he did to help himself at his shipmates expense.
JK has the same characteristics of a career criminal and his sentoral voting record proves that much.
Lock & load John has been shooting himself in the foot long enough seems like he would get the message his lies aren't helping him any at all and he would call a cease fire sooner or later.
Good luck on getting either candidate to sign a SF 180 release. We probably have as much luck with that as getting JK to admit he caused irreputable harm to his brothers in arms.
It wasn't until Reagan and Bush 41 that the military started getting over the damaging effect of what JK did and JF did durring and after Viet Nam.
