The fundamental issue is being under recognized here.

Kerry is no Bill Clinton.

When Kerry is in front of the camera and is NOT SCRIPTED or GOES OFF SCRIPT, he get's in trouble. Clinton was sharp and had a google mind that remembered stuff instantly. Kerry does not have that ability at all.

Begala, Carville, Mary Beth, McAuliffe...they are mere stage hands. The Charlie Chaplin of this show is John Kerry. Two differences.

1. Kerry ain't very funny (except in a sad, pathetic way).
2. Kerry is required to open his mouth and prove his incompetence.

Kerry can try but he can't keep his service out of the discussion

All we need do is remind America that "We are reporting for duty" !

I agree, take no prisoners. We "Veterans" keep the focus on Vietnam let the politicans fight him on the other stuff. Hell we've only got 2 months left that's like 1/2 of Kerry's tour of duty.

Yeah, right. Can you just hear him? "I forbid you to bring that topic up in my presence!" "I will not allow any questions to be asked about me!" As usual, self-righteous, arrogant perception that he is the only player on the board.... thing is, he doesn't seem to realize that the board has already been dumped off the table...

The only thing Clinton-related that would have helped Kerry is Bill Clinton himself. Unfortunately for Kerry, Clinton isn't available to do any campaigning for him due to heart surgery.

I really don't think Clinton is going to be able to do anything for Kerry after having quadruple-bypass surgery. Carville and Begala might offer a few suggestions here and there, but you can bet good money that their original plans were to have Bill Clinton hit the campaign trail full time for Kerry. Now that that's an impossibility, Carville and Begala can probably do no more than offer tidbits of minor advice here-and-there.

LMAO. Exactly. This grandiosity, and delusional thought, is their Achilles Heel. "They" may think the subject of Vietnam is over, but....... Very Happy

I agree, with the fact you knew clinton was lying but could not tell. Kerry's eyes darting and body language betrays him everytime. He will not pull off the lie like clinton could. However, I'll bet Edwards is a great liar, He has what it takes to be the next great dem. BSer.

End Vietnam focus?

No way for Kerry. He can't help but to talk about his heroic deeds.
He is a Don Quixote type. A legend in his own mind.

What else would he talk about.

I would like to add a 4th:

4. They don't believe in Kerry, only Hilary. They can't hope for anything more than not destroying the Democratic party and saving it for 2008. That is why the "anyone but Bush" is not a strategy for going into 2008, since Bush won't be running, at least not GW.

Swift Vets For Truth needs to keep moving full speed ahead.

If Kerry takes Clinton's advise, then he will make no specific response to the valid charges being brought against him by the Swift Vets and others (U.S. Navy?). On the other hand, if he disregards Clinton's advise, two things will happen: first, the Dems will be upset that Kerry has disregarded the advise of the Master, and second, Kerry still will not ever give a specific response to any of the charges. He will just blather. He can't give a good, specific response. The things the Swift Vets say are true (or at least 90% true).

Please, Swift Vets, save this country from Kerry. Keep pouring it on. Make sure that everyone in this country knows the truth about Kerry.

Something has happened to Edwards.. I watched most of the dem "debates" and the primary speeches and he was very confident -- then at the dem convention, he seemed to act "starstruck," overwhelmed -- his eyes looked different, his smile more phoney than usual. He seemed to be "posing" for the camera constantly.

At the midnight rally after the republ convention, I watched him and Kerry specifically to study body language, and he had an "uncomfortable" look on his face during the speeches -- and he was repeating himself and not convincing. He was still smiling when Kerry said we only had "one America - red, white and blue" (!!?)

But the strangest event was the afterspeech music and handshaking -- as he was working thru the crowd he had a pained expression on his face -- his regular smile was forced, not simply planted -- as he was shaking hands he kept looking around and behind him & speaking to his people, with body language that said "I want out of here" -- camera would swing over to Kerry doing his handshaking and he was acting calm and ponderous -- but when it swung back to Edwards, he seemed frenetic and well, in pain. I was thinking maybe he had a sprain or something. I don't know if it was physical or mental, but that man was obviously suffering thru that rally.

I guess we'll see if he recovers from whatever had afflicted him that night.

Too late. The horse is out of the barn. The genie is out of the bottle. The worm can has been opened. You can't unring the bell.

They are definetely going to divert attention away from the Vietnam issue, especially as they see attention progressively moving away from his spurious military records and beginning to focus on the validity of the Kerry hearing before the Committee on Foreign Relations of 1971 and the liberal media's involvement.

This is something that Kerry, liberal Senators and liberal media does not want to open up for discussion because there is too much evidence that indicts them of carefully orchestrating and collaborating together to stage this phoney hearing in order to assure the success of the liberal's agenda.

They would not be able to endure the publicity that would arise from this.

YES. As O'Neill said with a calm smile, "It's all over Mr. Kerry. The jig is up."
