The American Spectator had an interesting snippet about Kerry campaign staffers analyzing Unfit for Command... and finding 75 disagreements between the book and Kerry's records...
http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=6955
Quote: | COMMAND CONFIDENCE
According to a Kerry campaign source, senior campaign advisers tasked two Washington-based campaign staffers to vet the recently published Unfit for Command.
"The purpose was to compare what that book had with what we had on file from Senator Kerry," says the campaign source, who said that the research project developed more than 75 instances where Kerry's recollections, previous remarks, or writings conflicted with the book's reporting.
"We took some of the most glaring examples, like the Christmas in Cambodia story, and presented them to senior staff, and we assume that those things were put in front of Senator Kerry," says the source. "We haven't heard a word about it. All we were told is that it was being taken care of."
The campaign source said that the book was not considered a "serious" problem for the campaign, because, "the media wouldn't have the nerve to come at us with this kind of stuff," says the source. "The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing, and that the convention inoculated us from these kinds of stories. The senior guys really think we don't have a problem here." |
Aside from the 75 areas of dispute, it's interesting to note the dismissal of the mainstream media: they "...wouldn't have the nerve to come at us with this kind of stuff...".

If it is anything like their press release of "143 lies & distortions of the RNC" I will be less than impressed. I'd be willing to wager it is nothing but statements they FEEL were distorted. Kinda like how the Kerry Campaign is whining around when people attack his Senate Record, and the Kerry Campaign characterizes it as "character assasination", "saying he is Unfit For Duty" and "attacking his Patriotism". I'd love to see their list of things wrong with UFC..it would be quite laughable, I'm sure!

Hahaha...You could find More than 75 instances where Kerry's OWN recollections, previous remarks, & writings conflicted HIMSELF! |

Ha! Article dated August 10. Wasn't that a day after the first ad came out? They sounded so smug back then -- Cambodia was all taken care of -- no one will dare come at us with this stuff. Indeed.
Glad to see they are all buying the book!! |

Oh man the arrogance and the blatant admitting they believe the MSM wants Kerry to win and will not come after him on this!! Problem is it is true. _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

that's great! Kerry's staffers found 75 places where Kerry lied?
Good for them! I didn't realize myself that there were that many lies SBVTS caught Kerry in!
I don't have the book yet (will be out tomorrow looking for it) but I have read pieces of it on the internet (and what I've learned from our wise forum members who have read it)
Of course, his staffers don't even agree with themselves or each other.... depending on when they are on spinning and what show they are on. |

I picked up my copy today at Sam's Club in Hodgkins , Il . They had a number of copies. Last week they didn't have any.
It was marked $17+, but it rang up as $15+.
Last week, I called Border's in town here. They said they were sold out, but they would put me on a list.....I declined and said I wanted it the same day. They checked the Borders in Oak Brook, Il, and told me they had 23 copies there.
So they're out there...let your fingers do the walking.
Cheers, |

Appears that Kerry had repeated his own lies and embelishments that he started to believe them himself.
Reveals his true character - ie, a lier back then and a lier today - and,
yuppers, he will not hesitate to lie tommorrow!
Kerry is the Adlai E. Stevenson of 2004!

We need to fire the present media and establish a new media, the process is already in place that the majority of the public no longer watch the 3 major networks for their news. However cable needs to take on the role of the investigative reporter and supplant programs like 60 Minutes so more main stream issues are reported.
It is appalling that they believe they can smother and discredit Unfit for Command.
