I am confused about something Sad

in another group i am being told there is a sixty day cut off to the 527s running commercials after sept 4 2004 is this true

Your other group is wrong. There are no limitations (yet) on 527's. The President and John McCain are suing to have the 527's meet the same standards of hard/soft money as the political parties. The SVFT receives almost all hard money.. The only soft money they have received so far (that I am aware of) was the original seed money donation of $200G by Bob Perry (thanks Bob). And, yes this group will continue. They will carefully study their options and put their money to the best use for their purpose.

I am torn on the issue myself. I have seen the proliferation of 527s that have used the internet and other media to push an agenda that is not in my opinion good for America. They call it a "Grass Roots" Movement, when in reality it is funded by a few individuals and by the noise they make you would think their numbers are immense. I am talking about groups like Moveon.org, ANSWER, and some others.
Amazing that the biggest stink about any 527 has come from the left against the SBVFT. While the message here is one of Kerry not being fit to command, it is not out to change policy or even the way we govern ourselves. The other groups I mentioned are there for that expressed purpose.
Yes Freedom of Speach is intergral to the survival of our Nation, but when you have folks like George Soros pumping billions into the political process it does take away from the Peoples Voice.

are you talking about a country were a would be president tries to STOP free speech? STOP veterans from publishing a book???? STOP them from selling their book in local bookstores???? STOP them from putting an ad on tv???? STOP the truth from getting out to the American people????

I miss the old "equal time" rules they had for presidential races.
