By now most of you have seen this story:

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20040908/ts_alt_afp/us_vote_poll_bush_kerry_040908164913

Here is a link to the people who did the poll:

http://www.pipa.org/OnlineReports/Pres_Election_04/html/new_9_08_04.html#1

And here is the actual questionaire they used:

http://www.pipa.org/OnlineReports/Pres_Election_04/Questionnaire09_08_04.pdf

This is a meaningless poll. It only indicates what people in other countries are being told by their media - which is uniformly leftist in viewpoint. There is no attempt to understand what the reasons for the opinions are. It is not any kind of an honest research project. It is an example of partisan push polling - design a poll guaranteed to deliver the results you want, then promote the poll as important news.

Coming out at this time, it is simply an attempt to bolster the argument that our allies are against Bush.

Like I want a whole bunch of people who don't live here deciding who's my president!

I don't think they'd appreciate it if I said who I preferred to run each of their countries.

When the rest of the world starts sending foreign assistance to the United States, I might spend one second considering what they think --- until then

SHUT UP!!! You are irrelevant.

I don't recall anyone asking me about elections in the rest of the world.

Anyone hear any news about foreign nations or allies offering the US help to clean up Florida?

I haven't...

These countries are jealous and liberal. It is rubbish. How much do they know about our country and our politics? Nothing. They cannot even know why they responded to the polls as they did.

Hey - I know - lets let the rest of the world have him...and then he might leave US alone! Evil or Very Mad

Why might they prefer Kerry besides the obvious media slant? because they know if Kerry gets elected they will have a say in everything the US does... US economy will go in the toilet and things will be more "even" - truth be told, I think most of the people that hate the US actually are expressing envy all while pretending to look down on us...interesting note: Poland was one of the countries that DID NOT prefer Kerry...rate of economic growth there surpasses that of most of Europe....I think that is telling.

we know why the rest of the world want a weak president ,,the same reason why they decided to make the European Union ,,just to compete against the USA

if they want JFK so bad ,,we should send him to them ,,that is who they need to run the EU

Drudge is Drudge..do not think for one moment that he did this to "help" Kerry! This makes Kerry look like an fool..if he wants to run for EU Prez or Prez of the UN..go for it John..JUST get the hell out of this race..in fact move to Europe with Teresa and be happy..you seem to be happier with the Europeans anyway..I wish you no ill..just blow!

I have had it with this European love fest the media has..enough! We are the United States of America and damn proud of it..they sure love our money enough..time to say like was said by a previous poster
...Europe, this is our country, and what you want is irrelevant!

I have an idea! If all the people in all those countries prefer Kerry, I think we ought to auction him on eBay and the country that pays the most can have him!

And we could probably set the starting bid at $.01 and no one would bid.

Wonder how many of them prefer him as long as he's mucking around in the US but would feel completely different if Kerry were running THERE.

Should it surprise anyone that many of those countries are socialists and many run by dictators.
