Can't wait to hear it. There isn't enough sincerity in his whole body for him to pull off a credible apology.
And then, ANYTHING he says is going to be ripped to shreds, instantly.
Start diggin' out notes on what he has said about it just since "Tour of Duty" got published and get them ready.
Don't use them just yet - but when an apology is issued - WHAM! BLAM! POW!
Looking forward to it - bring it on, Senator, bring it ON!!! _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

These are my thoughts of an apology:
20% of Kerry's base believes in the 1971 testimony -- this would upset his solid base
An apology does not eliminate his 19 year Senate record.
It would appear he was doing it for political reasons only --- he could have apologize on Russert back in April.
Ultimate flip-flop. He has already stood by that testimony as noble in his efforts to end the war.
An apology does not make him fit to be CIC. |

The problem with that scenerio is that a so-called "apology" from Kerry would be an admission that he had done wrong. Up to this point, he has viciously painted all the SBVT as "right-wing kooks" and "Bush supporters". Were he to offer an apology for things said and done in the past, it would essentially be an admission that the SBVT were right, and that would hurt his campaign even more.
No, I don't expect him to apologize. An "apology" would be the ultimate death of his campaign. _________________ "[John Galt] raised his hand and over the desolate earth he traced in space the sign of the dollar." - Atlas Shrugged |
