| The Patriots made themselves heard in New England last night, and we're not just talking about the defending Super Bowl champions. With minutes to go in last night's hard-fought NFL season-opener from Foxboro, Massachusetts, the Patriots fumbled a punt, putting their opponents, the Indianapolis Colts, in great position to score. But then the Colts fumbled the ball right back to the Patriots, prompting ABC broadcaster John Madden to remark, "That's what's called a flip-flop" to which his broadcast partner Al Michaels replied, "Well, we're in the right state for that." |

Al has ALWAYS had the knack for finding the appropriate phrase.
I'll NEVER forget his line, "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!!" at Lake Placid in 1980. |
