he real media story of the 2004 presidential campaign may not be bias but incompetence.

I suppose the LA Times writer is referring to his own incompetence. It was never the intention of the SVFT to change the mind of the journalists at the LA Times or the NY Times. Their minds are sunk in concrete. The SVFT ads are for real people.

The L.A. Times uses the word phony, very loosely...Therefore I will also use it loosely...The Phony L.A.Times should be the last one to try to educate the public...Being bias is not a label to acquire..If The L.A. Times is so sure the Swiftboat ads are nonsense, why aren't they challenging the Swiftboat ads..And why isn't kamikaze kerry challenging them also...It's so easy to condemn something, it's another to back it up with documents or proof of what the hell they are calling nonsense...It just goes to show how stupid and bias the L.A. Times really is..One word for the Times is, print the facts, and not opinions...Or is that to hard to do..The NY Times already lost 2 million subscribers on Sunday editions..The L.A. Times will end up the same, because the public is not stupid...The whole MSM has to wake up..If I ran my business like these people are, I'd be broke in a short period of time...CBS should be a lesson to these, empty heads...
The news is on the Internet, bloggers etc etc.......

But it also is true that Sen. John F. Kerry's decline in the polls generally coincided with the high-water mark of the phony Swift boat controversy. Similarly, the president's plunge occurred while false documents concerning his military service were getting a daily airing.

Comparing the obviously faked CBS/Rather forgeries to sworn affidavits and real records supplied by the SBVT demonstrates that the LATimes calibre of reporting is on the same low. partisan level as Rather's.

Notice too, how the SBVT controversy is "phony" while the CBS fogeries are merely "false documents."

Subtle but partisan.

I don't know how old Tim Rutten is, but I'd wager that like many other reporters today he's barely old enough to remember anything about the period of time in question.

There have been many superb articles/e-mails written by those serving in Iraq. The story they tell is diametrically opposed to the one the LSM is telling. The falsity promulgated by the media, coupled with the deceit and treachery of John Kerry, sets this generation of soldiers up to be the next generation Vietnam Vet.

Not only can this not be allowed to happen, but justice and honor for those brave soldiers who served our nation in Vietnam must be restored. There is no question that John Kerry would sell this nation, and our soldiers out just as he did in the 70's.

The only one's spewing nonsense are John Kerry and his propogandists.

Here's a couple of good reads from Iraq if you're interested:

I hope the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth will add the LA Times to an ever growing list of MSM outlets that will be sued for libel.

We need to launch a concerted campaign to change the bias regarding the SBVT claims among many MSM journalists.

Here, for example, is a sentence on pg. 24 in the Sept. 20 Time Magazine article about John Kerry, "Coolness Under Fire". I quote: "The Swifties' initial charges were reckless and unfair, but the Kerry camp's political instincts were almost worse. The campaign did...nothing."

In fact, there was nothing at all reckless or unfair about the UFC charges. Solidly documented claims are neither "reckless" nor "unfair." Moreover, the Kerry campaign did respond, vigorously -- claiming that these were "lies" -- and that was about the extent of their rebuttal, which liberal journalists at Time Magazine and other media absorbed without any balanced reflection or criticism.

Michael Duffy and Karen Tumulty are the authors of the Time Magazine article. We need to get the word to Time executives and the editorial staff at the magazine that this kind of journalism is irresponsible and unbalanced -- and creates for them the same kind of credibility problem that Rather's bias has created at CBS -- in failing to carefully vet sources and documents for the Bush national guard service story.

We need to continually put pressure on the media to respond fairly and to examine their political biases.

My theory is that ultra liberal philosophy is that personal morality or honesty is rare or unrealistic to obtain, therefore "everybody does it" is their belief. Therefore Bush is just as corrupt as Kerry, and all accusations are also pointless and groundless, because that is what they do and assume everybody does the same thing. The ultra liberal morality is not measured by personal morality, but by public morality, that is, how much money can government tax the rich to help the poor, because all rich people are greedy and corrupt, and all poor people are helpless victims. I believe this philosophy is often gendered by their own personal guilt feelings. Of course, all of this meshes perfectly with a socialistic or communistic philosophy of government.

The LA Times has shown no respect for the truth for some time now. They dealt in falsehoods through last year recall election. What I feel is important is that while many repeat the claim that the SBVFT charges have been disproven, not one, NOT ONE has ever presented anything to substanciate that claim. They think that if they repeat it long enough it will become the truth. They have siezed Goebbels' maxim on the truth and yet dare to call us fascists.

The irony is that it is the overt bias of the MSM that will eventually be its destruction. More and more of us turn to the Pajamahadeen for the real story and the prominence of the MSM is waning daily.

I used to read the L.A. Times. It is really trash now. I refuse to purchase it, and only did under duress when my wife wanted to check the Sunday travel section for airplane fares and specials.

p.s. If there is a copy laying around, I will take a peak at the Fry's Electronics ads.
