He is always saying that. The frequency of use is fast approaching the tired old "..I would do everything differently" rhetoric.

Why doesn't his staff tell him that he is so painfully repetitive?

J K flip-flop has just toggled his way to a new position again.

This man is selling out our country again! Our troops are in the field and he is undermining their efforts. He did it in 1971 and he is doing it again in 2004! However, you feel about the war in Iraq, the troops deserve our unqualified support now.

Having just returned from the middle east, I can tell you that the last thing our troops want to hear is a defeatist potential Commander-in-Chief.

When I left (I rotated state-side in Nov 2003) morale was high and the situation, although challenging, was manageable. If you want a better understanding of what's going on, I suggest that you watch FOX news War Stories with Ollie North. He recently did a piece on the activities of 2/4 Marines in Ar Ramadi. His story was the most accurate piece of journalism done on Iraq since the first phase of OIF.

Be advised that things in Iraq are going to get pretty hairy running up to our election and their planned election in January. The media will do all they can show that we are losing, when in fact the terrorists are in a desperate race against time to weaken our resolve before the new Iraqi Army and police force can fend for itself. This is not Dunkirk, this is more like the TET offensive. If we have the political will, our troops will persevere.

All I can say is that I hope that your efforts to derail the Kerry campaign are successful. His prescription for success in Iraq appears to me more like a hasty Saigon-like evacuation to me.

My Favorite Flip-Flop From Kerry's Speech:

TODAY: Iraq War “Made Us Less Secure.” “I believe the invasion of Iraq has made us less secure and weaker in the war against terrorism.” (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At New York University, New York, NY, 9/20/04)

BEFORE: Kerry Questioned Judgment Of Those Claiming Saddam’s Capture Doesn’t Help American Security. “Those who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein, and those who believe we are not safer with his capture, don’t have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president.” (Anne Q. Hoy, “Dean Faces More Criticism,” [New York] Newsday, 12/17/03)
