Don't you guys know how the rank structure works in the USAF

since rank in the USAF goes by actual job knowledge, it goes

AB
Amn
A1C
2LT
SRA
1LT
SSgt
TSgt
Capt
MSgt
MAJ

Above this it is all political based upon who knows who, you can be a LT Col and know more than God but if you step on the toes of a SMSgt then your career can be screwed and vica versa

so when the TSgt calls you 'LT' what he is really saying is

"OH isn't he so cute when he tries to act like he knows what he is doing"

Great post! Although in my case it was when "she" tries to act like they know what they're doing Wink

I'm a MSgt and my wife is a Capt, so I'll have to show here the updated rank listing so we can get that straigthened out about who outranks who!

MJB,

I think we just missed each other. I PCSed to Elmendorf in '90 and served until '92 when I went back to school to earn my degree(s). I worked Dog flight until SC switched over to the 12 hour shift schedule.

You're right about the memories. I was in Elmendorf when the whole uniform thing hit the fan.
