Who is this guy (Craig - not the host) that is attempting to cross-examine John O'Neill?

This Craig guy is in wayyyyyy over his little pointy head. :::snicker::::

Thanks for the heads-up...this sounds like it's gonna get GOOD! The Corsi smear/distraction has just been dismissed by the co-host and now he's intending to get into specifics of UFC.

This guy arguing with John is going on and on about Corsi and all his bigot emails, etc - and said he wrote pages in the book about Kerry in Paris -- John is asking him what exactly is incorrect about the pages written. The guy keeps on about Corsi, won't address the book- wants to know if John knew about Corsi's emails before he agreed to work with him. John says of course not.

Greg or Craig is a trial lawyer. Wants to know where Corsi's money is going, admits that John's money is going to a charity. John says Corsi is a professional writer and he is keeping his money and said that the lawyer himself also keeps the money he earns. John is batting the ball back as fast as it is coming at him!! Says it is unworthy (or words to that effect) for this guy to go on the way he is without addressing the facts.

Caplis talking now - says he is interested in the facts of the book -- after the break.

It's been good so far - the host, Dan, keeps insisting that John O'Neill be allowed to finish answering the questions Craig is asking.

Lots of allusions to Jerome Corsi's seven-year history of remarks on a newsgroup, to his co-authorship of the book, to his pay for the book, to why wasn't Rassmann contacted - John O'Neill keeps repeating that the DNC has had this book for two months and hasn't been able find ONE fact to dispute. Smile

He keeps saying, "Craig, you still haven't brought up any of your arguments with the material in the book. If there are problems in the book, let's dig them out and look at them and correct them."

Craig keeps leading the conversation off into the DNC talking points. (I think Craig may be more than a bit dim - surely no match for O'Neill. Wink )

Caplis said he's good friends with Craig, but that Craig was attacking the motive of the book and the methodology (working with Corsi) but was not addressing the facts. Then he played the "Friends" ad and wanted to address the visit to Paris and the war museum in VN. John indicated Kerry was a naval officer when he met with the enemy and was in violation of the UCMJ and that what he did was far worse than what Jane Fonda did because she was just an ideolog and not an officer in the military.

Craig says: Re p. 7, war remnants museum - the pic is from 1993 meeting with McCain. John says that is the picture they chose to put in the hero's hall and still reflects the view of the north vietnamese that he is their hero -- doesn't matter that they didn't use a 1970 picture. In the Hero's Hall: Castro, Palestinian terrorists, etc, and two Americans, and Kerry is one of them. Craig said he will concede the point.

Craig also said he would concede the point that on his honeymoon, Kerry met with the Viet Cong in Paris and it was far from his finest moment. He wants John to concede the point that Kerry was not negotiating on behalf of the US gov't. And John said yes, he was not working for our gov't and was at that meeting on his own.

John now discussing the Rassmann incident... said he knew Kerry for 2 days. Craig said Rassmann told him he knew Kerry for a month. John said no, he wasn't there. John was in the middle of describing the Rassmann incident and the errors in the story --but they broke him off for a hard news break, so he did not get to finish.

Haha! On an earlier appearance on this show, Rassmann apparently confirmed UFC's version of the grenade > rice > butt story. Very Happy

And Dan asked John what was his worst interviewing experience - he replied that he didn't think it could be called an interview, but that his appearance with Carville on Capitol Gang was pretty bad. Seven minutes of Carville screaming - "how do you exchange any information like that?"

At the start of the program, Craig started to make a big deal out of O'Neill being a highly skilled attorney - looked like he was headed toward a discussion on his ability to sidestep, maybe? But, O'Neill didn't sidestep a thing. In fact, he insisted on being able to finish his answers - "If you ask me a question, you WILL get a complete answer."

Another straight-up representation of the Swifts - he does them proud every time!

Way to go, Swifts!

::Grins:: Craig is someone I grumble about regularly and is the co-host (Denver's version of Hannity and Colmes)... .However, I would love to invite John O'Neill on every night to point out what he is trying to "spin" around. O'Neill did a fabulous job. Yeah John O'Neill!

Craig: Rassmann points to 3 bullet holes, was being fired at. Said John said there was no damage and then that 3 bullet holes weren't enough. Caller says that there would be some damage to Kerry's boat due to mine damage, if the explosion threw Rassmann overboard.

Caller was asked, who is more credible, Rassmann or O'Neill? Says O'Neill is most credible, has a broader base of documentation, and the problem is that if there was a mine, that there should have been damage to Kerry's boat.

Host said O'Neill was there to talk about the new ad. Asked the caller's reaction to Kerry meeting with Viet Cong in Paris -- Caller said Kerry was upset with what he had seen in Vietnam, and that he was not negotiating with anybody, was just meeting with them -- wasn't trying to hide anything. Refers to Kerry's 1971 testimony where he admits meeting in Paris. Said a lot of people went to Paris to meet those people & size them up. Said it wasn't appropriate for Kerry to have the meeting, but again, he didn't hide the fact that he had been there.

Actually I was pleased with the show. The Denver Area Marketplace got to hear the new Friends Ad 3 times during the show. John O'Neill was able to note that all of the ads are available for download at the web site as well as Dan stating how to contribute to the Swift Vets. Add in 1 hour and 15 minutes (minus all the dumb commercials) where Mr. O'Neill was able to point out some of the facts. I think it was a great show. They also asked if he would come back!

P.S. I just asked them to post a copy of the interview on their site. I imagine ::stage whisper:: if they get more than one request, the interview might get posted and those who missed it will get to hear it too.

WOW! Shocked Would loved to have heard all this live! John is trulywonderful and has been the right person to carry this message for over 30 years. Yes, the Carvile mudslinging episode was difficult. But John was steady and articulate in the face of Carvile ranting and screaming and flingin his body all around in his chair and on the top of the table. It was hysterical from a visual perspective. John's expression suggested he couldn't believe he was present for the final mental meltdown of Carvile. This was Crossfire, I think, perhaps someone can give the name and date of this show. It may be listed in the media events sticky.. I apologize. It would be worth watching again just to witness the integrity of John O'Neill vs. the rabid character of Carvile CTW

Never Ever Kerry
