Also, what was it Kerry was talking about phasing out in 4 years. Something nuclear I think. I had a phone call and couldn't concentrate on what he was saying well enough.

I think it was hard for the president to maintain his composure whne Kerry started throwing out all those lies right off the bat.

The pundits are saying- "why didn't he counter Kerry?" Where was he supposed to start? And how was he supposed to get it all in in just 30 or 90 seconds!

This man Kerry is the most evil, pathological lying manipulator I have ever seen.

I am SO SCARED that the voters who don't know any better will actually BELIEVE HIM! Good Lord- he was even quoting Michael Moore!

And how many times did he bring up his "combat" service???!!!

SWIFTEES!!! SAVE US FROM THIS MAN! YOU ARE OUR ONLY HOPE!
The President cannot stoop to his level on live National TV!

GOD HELP US! THIS MAN CANNOT BE ELECTED PRESIDENT!

I just had to turn my Unfit for Command book over because I can't stand to look at his face.

By the way I donated my other copy to my local library- I hope it helps!!!

While Bush was off tending to the nation, Kerry got his spray on sun tan, and botox treatment.

It was close but any person who has been listening would of heard many inconsistancys from Kerry that screamed LIES and FLIP FLOPS

If Bush would have said one lie the MSM would have jumped on it. Kerry has the big advange knowing he can lie in the debate and not be called on it

I think this is going to be a race to the end. Bush did not score the knock-out punch everyone in this group was predicting and expecting. Kerry only looked bad to those, like us, who know him.

I think I've detected a lot of complaceny, even arrogance, in posts in recent days and we've got to shed ourselves of that attitude. The gap in the polls is going to narrow. And we know the Democrats are trying to steal the election with dirty tricks and ballot-box stuffing. This phenomena isn't even counted in the polls.

For the Republicans to win this thing, they might very well need every vote from every undecided still out there, and frankly I don't care what they have between their ears or behind their ears, or how much they smell, or how little they think. We need their votes.

But most of all we need the votes of all those Democrats who were thinking about switching to Bush. I think the polls in recent weeks were showing this switching was, in fact, going on. Now I think we'll see some reversal, but how much is TBD. It's those "loose Democrats" that the SBVFT need to target. I've heard that 28% of the Democrats are in favor of a strong presence in Iraq, and it's that 28% that will be most receptive to the SVBFT message about Kerry.

Alot do already. Too close for comfort. Well, at least he stuck hid big head out and told the nation that he would not cut and run. God forbid he wins in November but now he will have to back up his new position and really piss off the lefties.

I don't know that you can say that anyone ever really wins one of these debates unless one of the debaters does something really stupid that the media picks up on. I has hoped that Kerry miight be induced into doing something as damaging as Howerd Dean's famous scream. He didn't, so in that sense he didn't lose I guess.

The point that I found most interesting was the North Korean question. President Bush made a really strong point that he would not enter into bi-lateral talks with North Korea because he wanted to keep our partners (China, South Korea, Russia and Japan) involved in the talks. Kerry was strongly in favor of the bi-lateral talks, even though he did at one point say that he wanted to do both the bi-lateral talks and the six-party talks. Kerry is the big man on coalitions and "not going it alone". But on this issue he clearly is more interested in going it alone and screw the coalition. Seems like a pretty strong flip-flop to me. President Bush beat up on Kerry on this point a bit, but not as much as I think he could have. To me, this is just another example of Kerry being opposed. He really doesn't have a personal philosophy. He is simply against what ever President Bush is doing.

The other point in this debate that I thought made Kerry look bad was his inability to state what his policy on Iraq would be if elected. Basically, it seems that he would not do anything all that much different from what President Bush has done. He would just do it all better somehow. Build a larger coalition. Train the Iraqis faster. Get out quicker. Spend less money. But he never offers any real clue about how he would accomplish these miracles.

I guess he figures that voters will simply trust him. Well, we all know how far you can trust John Kerry. If he is planning to run on the question of trust, he has lost.

It would be a GREAT mistake not to concede that John F-ing Kerry is an accomplished liar. Exposing those lies to the American people prior to election day IS the task, the MISSION, it's what DRIVES this forum !!!!!!!!

PostPosted: Fri Oct 01, 2004 3:43 am    Post subject: Transfer of Troops from Afghanistan to Iraq? Reply with quote

General Tommy Franks on Hannity and Colmes: Kerry lied when he said that troops previously stationed in Afghanistan were transferred to Iraq. Actual number of troops in Afghanistan increased after decision made to build up troops in Kuwait against Iraq. But why didn't Bush rebut Kerry's claim during the debate?

Bush did miss too many opportunities. He will have to be more focused and more aggressive, and ready to rebut lies. Somehow I'm not sure that Bush was expecting Kerry to be "hawkish", and let Kerry score some points in what should be Bush's strong suit.

Bush didn't rebut the false claim about Gen. Shinseki being "retired" for calling for more troops in Iraq--in fact, he retired before Iraq became an issue. But again, Bush didn't rebut these claims.

Bush will have to be MUCH stronger next debate, otherwise he could lose the election...

Are the SBVT planning any other ads? Kerry has to be kept out of the White House, no matter what!!!
