ROME – Special forces from the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq raided a hide-out south of Baghdad Tuesday and freed three Italian hostages held for almost two months and a Pole abducted last week, Italian officials said.

The three Italians were in good condition and were expected to return to Italy Wednesday.

"This was a happy ending to a story that could have been tragic," Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said on state television.

Berlusconi said the men were being flown by helicopter to Baghdad and were due to return to Italy Wednesday.

Point being that, given the "bad news" penchant of the major media, the "Kerry Klub" mightn't have to suffer through it.

I'll be willing to stand corrected tho. If anyone sees this given "Page 1" treatment anywhere in the major media, please post the particulars.

Thank God for Special Forces!!! Well done!

Please keep a good thought or a prayer for PFC Maupin, the last man unaccounted for from that incident.

If he's alive, I know that our military will rescue him, too!
