I don't think so. After all, the only way senators can successfully "get rid" of anyone is to drive them off a bridge into a lake. Right? |

Just for your information, if a political party has their candidate elected over an incumbent President, the outgoing party's officials and cabinet officials are always replaced. 100 days indeed!
Just goes to show just how much actual knowledge you have concerning the government and how it really works

Just goes to show your level of intelligence!

I'd give you a hard time for the personal attack, but this post is quite silly for exactly your stated reason. It's kind of like saying that Kerry would get rid of Bush in his first 100 days in office. Kind of goes without saying. |

mikest, you are certainly correct. Comment changed to:
"Just goes to show just how much actual knowledge you have concerning the government and how it really works".

See Alan Greenspan to blow your theory. Not all political appointees are replaced.
Doh!!! See how much knowledge you have of the current government!! |

It's the difference between a cabinet position (Secretary of...) and the position of Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
Who, incidentally, is the government official with the greatest individual power over the direction of the economy. Since he's done well for years, it would be a brave (or stupid) President that would replace him solely for partisan political reasons. _________________ Bye bye, Boston Straggler! |

Which is my point about Ashcroft. He sucks at his job and should be thrown out. Then covered in honey and thrown in a bear pit. |

Just one more example of Kerry's shallow thinking and lack of good sense. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Yeah, every administration needs a good despot. |
Every administration needs people who put the good of the country and its law-abiding citizens before the "rights" of terrorists and their supporters and associates.
That's what we've got in this administration and I hope with every cell in my being that the President is re-elected so it will remain the "provision for defense" that it is.
We sure aren't going to get much in the way of National Defense if it's left up to John Kerry and his ilk. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

John Ashcroft is not interested in the rights of citizens, unless you mean taking them away.
If John Kerry is elected, I hope he completely eliminates the PATRIOT Act!! |
