This really wouldn't suprise me. BOR always struck me as rather liberal sexually. I've also heard the way he speaks to the women on his radio program, talking about wet t-shirts, no t-shirts, etc. Looks like BOR's big mouth has gotten him into some hot water.
Still I agree that it's probably not deserving of a law suit, and if this woman was really offended why did she continue to allow him to say these things? Couldn't she have just told him she was uncomfortable with it? I don't know, maybe she did and he continued anyway. It just sounds fishy to me. _________________ "If I must choose between righteousness and peace, I choose righteousness." -- Theodore Roosevelt |

Read her filing. She did make it clear to him that he needed to cut it out.
As to being offended, I'm a guy and -- if he said those things -- I'm offended and embarrassed.
Another thought I had....
If your daughter had an opportunity to work at Fox News and she had to choose between working for BOR and Hannity -- putting ideology aside -- who would you feel more comfortable having her working for? _________________ Whose side is John Kerry really on? Take this quiz and decide for yourself.

From what I've seen of O'Reilly lately, I would say her charges sound awfully credible. He really gets off on interviewing porn stars on his tv show (I haven't heard his radio show) and having these little on-air flirtations. I have wondered what is wrong with the guy -- he is supposedly doing a legitimate, serious news analysis program, and yet every once in a while we are treated to these kinds of trashy interviews? My husband and I have thought for a long time that O'Reilly does seem to have a problem with sex. The way he lets his fantasies seep into his tv program, it is not too much of a stretch for me to believe this woman.
But time... and the courts (and, above all -- sadly -- who has the better lawyers) will tell. One thing is for sure: this case will move the Scott Peterson trial off the airwaves. _________________ TRUTH IS ALWAYS THE VICTOR |

Thanks ccr. I'm just learning of this story, so I guess I don't have all the facts yet. Just skimmed the argument, must've missed that.
Doesn't look good for BOR. But perhaps I should reserve judgement until after I've completed my own investigation. _________________ "If I must choose between righteousness and peace, I choose righteousness." -- Theodore Roosevelt |

What strikes me as very suspicious about her story is, after having worked with Bill and leaving Fox, she then accepts a job with him again? It sounds like she was aware before she left Fox that Bill might be prone to sexual advances (according to her story), yet she placed herself back into that position? I smell a rat, folks, and I'm no O'Reilly fan. That would be like me escaping a murderous regime, then volunteering to move back under it, then crying when I was brutalized. Most people would come to the conclusion that I wanted to be brutalized. Fishy. |

I doesn't ring true to me.
The phone thing...why didn't she just hang up the phone.
The women I know would hang up the phone as soon as there was any indication inappropriate conversation.
Just my 2 cents. |

I don't know who is lying and who is telling the truth here, but I will say that BOR has undergone a change lately. It's evidenced by all of us who are outraged by his treatment of certain guests.
I also noticed some comments by BOR that I felt uncomfortable with. And, the trashy porn star interviews were a mystery to me from the standpoint of why would someone put this on with a supposedly "hard-hitting" news program? It seemed those interviews were more fitting to a Comedy Central program.
Also, even though he complained Hollywood hated him, he would pander to them with those goofy interviews where he seemed to just swoon over the words and thoughts of these air heads. His interview with Michael Moron was particularly irritating to me. _________________ Sister to a Marine vet who served in Vietnam and proud of it.

Amazing how far this is going with zero evidence to support it. Isn't that the very reason that this forum came into existence? I don't think this trash belongs here, sounds more like Jerry Springer material to me. _________________ No whiners! |

After skimming the text of both lawsuits, I would conclude that there is some pretty damaging evidence of some sort, most likely tape recordings. The BOR lawsuit seems to be couched in technical terminology which would not be the case if the charges were totally false. Reading the woman's lawsuit, if only half of it is true, should make the remaining BOR fans ( I can not understand how there are any on this Forum) sick to their stomach!
At least we know what BOR was doing when he should have been reading Unfit for Command. _________________ "And we will tell the terrorists, we will win and you will lose" and hope to hell they believe me.-John Kerry |

Yeah, too busy with fantasies to concentrate on reading a book if you believe the transcripts. _________________ Sister to a Marine vet who served in Vietnam and proud of it.

Really? Why don't you post it?
We really have our plate full here trying to undo John F-ing Kerry, and the legal travails of BOR are not a means to that end. This is a non productive tangent, that distracts from our goal! But I'll bet Oprah is interested, why not take it there? _________________ No whiners! |

I started watching O'reilly regularly over a year ago, and even joined his Premium Member* audience. The more I watched---the less impressed I was with him. He is too passive on moral issues; which tells me he is pandering to a larger audience. Sean Hannity leaves no doubt on where he stands. I respect that. Needless to say, I didn't renew my membership with O'reilly! _________________ Chance favors the prepared mind...
